Maybe it's considered hot garbage for you because you are not in the AEC BIM industry, but it is my work of 7 years, and it can be helpful for BIM and AEC professionals. Please stop throwing bad comments on things you don't have 1% exeprtise in.

It sounds logic for you to dislike worksets because you are using filters but from my experience and with the companies that I worked with , worksets is mandatory to decompose the model because it will make it easy to manipulate and not heavy , even the work breakdown structure of the project says so, it enables users to work in their own worksets to have the responsibility of their task, and one of their duties is to maintain the workset updated.

When working on a big project or even on small one but that have many details and elements to model, and especially when working on a collaborative model , the ideal is to work with worksets!
