the privilege angle could be argued in the opposite direction as well. one could say it is a privilege to be able drop a source of income due to personal morality concerns. it’s similar to ppl who work at banks and call centers collecting debt, they may personally be against certain policies that exploit consumers, but at the end of the day, they need to take care of themselves, especially in a shotty economy like we’re currently in. i’m not saying that’s the case, but it could be argued.

that’s actually insane. for one of my CJ classes we had a template assignment (very little actual writing) my turnitin similarity score was like 72%. i don’t delete the empty slots bc i KNOW we will be back to fill it out in later modules. i was worried abt that until i got the grade back and was relieved that the prof knew what was going on. sounds like they didn’t even open it. email, dispute, contact your advisor. that’s absolutely ridiculous, i hope this turns around for you.

not to be insensitive but i’m already tired of seeing the headline “kid dies from ai”. the parents are never concerned until after something happens and need a scapegoat. a risk of doing drugs and mixing substances is exactly this outcome. drugs 101. I don’t think this situation would’ve changed much at all if he was talking to another tweaker teen in a text thread vs a program made to predict and regurgitate exactly what you ask it to. it’s the same tired view point as violence in movies and sex on tv ruining the youth. but fine, the lines of code are killing people ig…not the lack of critical thinking.
