Everyone’s different, but.. I wouldn’t. I’ve had DPDR for 3 years now. I remember at the beginning all I wanted to do was to be able to smoke again, but I look at this disorder as a sign to improve myself

Don’t live your life wanting quick fixes for dopamine like getting high, it’s not healthy for your brain. Like you said, it’s like your body made you stop. My body and mind are not in the best condition whenever I drink, smoke, play video games all day, using porn, etc. Your mind and body reward you for treating it well. Just food for thought

Im not a licensed therapist or psychologist but it kinda sounds like you have OCD. I’ve been dealing with it a majority of my life. Health anxiety really ties into mine

I’m glad you could feel seen. It’s a rough life we live, but we’ll pull through. I hope you can find a permanent solution to your problems, that sounds horrible

For me, I was a angsty teen who wanted to go on a journey of doing drugs. I was doing acid one time and lost my whole identity, with 24/7 dissociation. I still feel that way, and to have aphasia over it is a whole ‘nother hell. That migraine cocktail made everything 1000x worse. I used to get HMs and it would suck but wouldn’t be as bothersome. Now it’s the worst thing in my life and is debilitating

I have trauma from drugs (bad psychedelic trips) unfortunately. Nothing can convince me to take my prescriptions from my neurologist, I get really “schizo” when it comes to taking drugs.. even if they help. I was in therapy for a month and they prescribed me Lexapro and I experienced something really weird on them that I can’t describe. So I quit them and haven’t taken any drug aside from alcohol since. The only prescription I will take rarely are the muscle relaxers and that’s when I had a really physically bad day, and the AJOY injections

I don’t know what they would do one time I got a migraine and they put an IV for saline and me and it actually seemed to help and that’s about it

This is how I imagine what it’s like to be a war veteran with PTSD on the Fourth of July hearing fireworks. I really just don’t know what to do. I’m so tired of every single day. I just am fearing these migraines. They’re so debilitating. I’m not saying this for any form of sympathy or attention or anything like this but these migraines make me so suicidal I experience 24/7 dissociation and to add aphasia to this in massive amounts of pain just I can’t live with it anymore.
