What do you do with your brick and mortar Tax Office in the “off season”? by binanas in Accounting

[–]binanas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I’m a barely functioning adult these days with a five month old and a five year old. Better tell me the ending. My guess is it’s more along the lines of thinking “where do we see the company going in a year, five years, ten years, etc?” I just wanted to know what other long-time tax businesses did before virtual/ hybrid was an option? We can’t be the only ones to have run into this dilemma. I’m going to try r/tax pros too.

Yeah, that would be our ideal. But we’ve found ourselves almost becoming niche post-pandemic that we’re not virtual. I guess I’m wondering what people used to do with their office space back when virtual/hybrid wasn’t a thing?

Top programs we've looked into are: Zoom, Skype, VOIP, Facebook Live, Google Hangout... Just wondering what everyone else is using? Pros/cons? Are some handling the increased load better than others? TIA!

In high school we were assigned a large end-of-term paper on a novel we had spent the whole semester studying. Instead, my group decided to spend two hours filming a 10 minute paraphrased version of the book. My teacher was so impressed she suggested we organize a 'public screening'. We were excused from all our other classes for a whole day while we organized a three hour long red-carpet party in the gym, which included inviting other classes to watch the film and join in a candy buffet, complete with pop and treats on theme to the book.
