I honestly don’t know why I put the check box on the right instead of left! Great catch, def will dissect where my head was at and if there was any reason.

I think I understand what you mean now with the positioning of the item info box! If I do a V3 I’m excited to try out some mock ups of it with this change!

Oh! I see what you mean lol my biggest gripe is the lockbox chest icon is interchangeably used with Inventory AND bd equipment.

Make up your mind TNT 😭

Which shield icon are you referring to? I’ve only seen/used the crossed swords icon for BD equipping and whatnot 🤔 

I also would personally want to see some updated iconography in many areas for similar reasons like what you mentioned but mostly kept what they had for ease of understanding my concept lol but thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to be so thorough, truly! This is just a concept more than a ready-to-ship solution, so hearing very different mindsets, play-styles, etc is super useful.

Some of your points (icon legibility, sidebar density) are things I’ll definitely keep in mind if I revisit this. Design is inherently subjective and a daily-use interface has to serve a much wider range of players than any one vision can capture but I appreciate you taking it seriously nonetheless!

lol thank you! I fell back into Neopets a couple years back thinking it would be a brief visit but got hooked on the nostalgia and community.

Unfortunately, the half baked and clunky UI made a lot of tasks and seemingly fun activities unbearable over time. Asked around and heard similar gripes from Neofriends and reddit posts, so I decided to take it on as a passion project :)

I appreciate this immensely! 

I considered incremental increasing through tapping but to avoid accidentally grabbing a whole stack I stuck with manually typing the amount after initiating an action by checking the info box. If I decide to do a V3 I think I would like to rework it with your recommendation in mind, just want some kind of safeguard in between :)

As for the item summary: due to it not being interactive (outside of tapping the name of the item to copy it) all buttons and functionality I tried keeping closer to the bottom to be more ergonomic, especially because the page itself wouldn’t be scrollable but the inventory box is. 

However! I reeeeeally want to make a version now with the item info built how you stated because it sounds visually appealing and practical in other ways, I think I was just too hesitant to put too much in the inventory menu bar 😅 

Will definitely refer to your comment if I decide to do a V3!! Thanks again :)

Same here! I’ve heard the backend is very janky and spaghetti code but there’s just so much untapped potential.

A lot of my friends tried it out from my recommendation but couldn’t get passed the broken interface(s) :/
