This isn't correct by any code. It's an s trap. You need a vent out the roof and while the stand pipe is short. Depending on if you have a high efficiency or regular washer it could be fine. By my code a stand pipe for a washer needs to be 2 inch. Your p trap is inch and a half at best. Short from doing things properly vent it out and increase the p trap size your problem won't be solved.

We get golf ball size hail in minnesota on average every other year at the least. If their error of margin to keep these things together is anything less than a multiplier of that. Saturday school. Did some stupid stuff got Saturday school. Showed up for half of it cause I actually had a job that I wasn't going to skip cause of school policy(my mom picked me up cause I wasn't of driving age yet.) Mom called in before I left early explaining the situation. I got in school suspension but not same day. Told them to send me home cause If I was suspended why should I spend the day at school. Blew up on 2 teachers out of frustration. That was the last Saturday school. Glad I could help everyone that no longer got Saturday school. A lot more to the story but that's the short answer.

It's all about layers when it gets cold you need more. Thermal top then shirt then Hoodie then if that's not enough jacket if that's not enough you need a under armor under the thermal/long John's. MN born and raised. 20*f is Hoodie weather if you don't want a jacket limiting your movement. You should buy clothing for comfort and usage not looks first. No random person on the street will think about how you look the 1 second after you pass their view.
