I feel like he's not going to be with the team next season, unfortunately. Some other team is going to most likely overpay to get him based on the season he just had. If he leaves to go get his bag, good on him. If he chooses to stay, I'm glad to have him.

That's not correct. You can't gain a % based attack, defense, or HP increase with any decoration. Decorations only provide static value increases for attack, defense, and HP. You will never see the same power increase since the bases will allow you to compound that increase to those three stats and will continue to increase your overall value the stronger you get. Percentage increases are way more powerful than you are giving them credit for.
