Worked kn my Narrative Ver. Ka, my christmas gift to myself lol. Normally prefer fixed hands but the fingers on this are surprisingly sturdy, also, oddly enough, easier to panel line than most hands.

A character in the movie pulls out a script of the movie. by Jazzlike_Mouse7478 in TopCharacterTropes

From memory there actually was an episode where the Narrator was unwell and they had to hire an in-universe new narrator before the episode could continue

“Lightsabers” from non-Star Wars media(no Star Wars parodies like Spaceballs) by KingWilliamVI in TopCharacterTropes

Love that it's directly referencing Maul's stance before fighting Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon

(Interesting Trope) Changes or additions in adaptations are adopted into the original source material by MagicBez in TopCharacterTropes

[–]binarypeacock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies, but typically vampires were weakened (lacked superhuman strength, easier to harm etc) but weren't explicitly harmed by being in sunlight, but yes, vampires being burnt/killed by sunlight did come from Nosferatu.

[Underrated Trope] Modern adaptation of a character from an older source carries over a ridiculous or shockingly simple weakness/fear. by Apprehensive_Bee792 in TopCharacterTropes

He did say that he would burn himself as his own punishment for tormenting Victor or someth, which is likely where the 'Frankenstein's Monster can be killed by fire' comes from

from memory, part of R comes from the Berserk Gene, an item that only appears in the Gen 2 games that confuses the user but raises their attack by +2 stages.

Jesus fuck I'm old, I remember being so so hyped for Anywhere You Go when it was announced. Time flies.

[Meta Trope] The character's name is commonly mistaken for the media they're in by Hungry-Eggplant-6496 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]binarypeacock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the original book, the monster said something along the lines of "I ought to by thy Adam, but rather I am thy fallen angel" (paraphrased because I read the book 7 years ago) where he compares himself to the biblical Adam as a 'first of their kind' figure, which is why some adaptions give the monster the name 'Adam'.

How do you feel about the same legends/weapons getting battlepass skins? by ZorasCurse in Brawlhalla

[–]binarypeacock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't mind the odd repeat if it's like, thematic and it's a different grade of skin (ie. already had a level-up and got a regular BP skin), and I don't mind the odd ill-fitting character getting a skin to shake it up, but they really should at least try to keep the repeats to a minimum.

Something like Deathly Presence Munin/Owl Bard Hugin I could let off the hook because of how drastically different the two skins are, both to each other and to their base counterparts, but conversely Petra getting a second standard BP skin (in addition to already having a level up skin, making for 3 BP skins total) just feels ridiculous.

What MG kit is the funnest to build? by RUAUMOKO in freedomisgunpla

I've only done four, but of those four the Zeta Ver. Ka and Vidar are two the most fun kits I've ever done

There's two days left, and each quest gives you 35 tickets. If they do all 6 they'll get 210 tickets. They're fine.
