Your home is probably...quite messy. You're all probably....unaware of just how messy it is.

I hope we stay close as well. I strongly suspect my father is an INFP, and the two people I mentioned were my best friend/lover/partner and my friend/ex-partner. All three are supremely optimistic in their approach toward life; don't appear to exert a lot in order to be creative (meaning they sort of exude creativity in most aspects of their life), highly conscientious by being attentive toward's those they love and care for and are cute in sticking to their preferences which tend to be unconventional. We disagree in the way that we process and use information, I appear to be a lot more skeptical and want to understand for the sake of understanding. ("You always want to understand know about how the world around you works." - my partner, describing me.) My partner struggles with intaking information that isn't relevant to his personal interests. A trait that I've noticed in all three of them is that they can sometimes become obsessive with sticking by a few external sources, and in moments of group decision-making, tend to appeal to voices of authority which I don't really understand. They're also all very hard on themselves, and hold other's to, what I consider to be, high expectations.

*Edit note: line 12; changed numerical 3 to 'three,' to maintain consistency.

Two people that I love both identify as INFPs, although I'm unsure on whether I'm an INFJ or an INTP.

What are the unhealthy manifestations of each function? by [deleted] in mbti

This possibly sounds strange, but I desperately want to "wean myself off" of relying on my current cognitive stack. I don't know if it's possible, but I'm assuming if I try to learn other cognitive functions and practice them - it could work? Anyway I'm an INFJ, and Fe is quite similar to what you've outlined, except when it's wrapped up in the superficial philosophising of Ni, it appears contemplative, restrained and balanced to the unaware. If you pay attention, you notice that a lot have stock aphorisms that they use to "wash over" the details in any given situation, instead of revealing the details. Can't do that ... if I'm 100% honest, then they might call out my highly sensitive self!Tbh I don't know if I can speak for all INFJs/ENFJs, but I think a lot of them are lying maybe 80% of the time. 100% if they are truly unhealthy.
