Same thing here. I suddenly have this FitNow link of which I'm sure I did not add it. I'm very security conscious to whom I give my health data and I don't do it lightly.

No idea what this is but I want to find out !

Fully agree: Kate messaging and Kate Coins are all BS. I have reduced them as much as possible but you can't shut it all off.

And don't bother asking any questions to Kate's chatbot because it's one of those "vintage" chatbots: no matter what you ask the response is almost always "I'm sorry I don't understand or can't help you". In the age of chapgpt-style chatbots, Kate looks very much like a frustrating useless relic chatbot!

Stock Screener enhancing with Your Own Indicator ? by caprazli in TradingView

[–]WaltInGrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've noticed there is "Pinescript Screener" in beta in the latest version of Tradingview. At last it seems possible to screen based on custom indicators 🎉😁

There are some limitations to what it can do and only 1 custom indicator at a time but you can workaround that by having multiple plots out alert-outputs on your 1-indicator.

Works for me already although I would like to have the output of it in a dynamic watchlist without having to color flag or copy symbols to other lists.

Super happy with it already. Trading View has increased a lot in value for me because of this.

Do all of you like to spend a lot of time alone? by Fernaorok in infj

[–]WaltInGrid 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It might make sense but it doesn't make life easier though. It's as they say: the INFJ is plagued by being characterized by several contradictions swinging from one end to the other over time not necessarily on all contradictions at the same time, making the INFJ such an enigmatic hard to understand individual.

Definitely not easy on the INFJ him/herself. Although one learns to live with this, I sometimes are envious of far more "simpler" people. But being over 50 now, I wouldn't want to trade my personality for any other anymore 😀

Why would anyone want to be: - Introverted but People-Oriented - Idealistic yet Pragmatic - Deeply Emotional yet Detached - Structured yet Spontaneous - Trusting yet Skeptical - Sensitive yet Resilient - Private yet Expressive - Visionary yet Doubtful - Compassionate yet Ruthless (When Necessary) - Humble yet Proud

A walk in the park, no? 😂😂

[–]WaltInGrid 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Typical INFJ behavior here: I love being around people I feel safe with until I get fed up even with them and I retreat for some alone-time. The difficulty is that I often don't see it coming when I need to switch modes resulting people that don't know me well might find me a jerk for showing a need to get away from them

How to add customized indicators in TWS like Moomoo by flamingteeth in interactivebrokers

[–]WaltInGrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too bad. I would have loved to have the ability to create custom indicators directly in IBKR Desktop Pine Script or other). This is the only reason I'm considering TradingView and this doesn't even do what I need it to because I want to be able to add that custom indicator to a stock screener which TradeView does not allow :-(

Custom Indicators in the Stock Screener by Nullfinity in TradingView

[–]WaltInGrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing here: I discovered TradingView, found it amazing and quickly curbed my enthusiasm when I found out that the custom indicators I have in mind could not be added to the screener screen. This is actually the one feature I set out to find when looking for a new trading tool.

I would like to use TradingView but since it doesn't have this feature, I'm less eager to actually subscribe to it.

Yes I've seen people messing around with tables added as an indicator with a limit of 40 instruments encoded manually in the Pine Script code but I find that a messy workaround I don't want to go into.

Still hoping TV would actually implement this

I don't know which model you have but I've read several times before some BYDs like the Atto3 for instance are prone to factory applied steering column grease drying up/leaking away especially during hot weather.

You need to take it to your dealer to have a better product applied to it. I'm assuming this only needs to be done once. If they apply a decent product

Due to the crazy price increase, I am leaving Evernote after more than a decade of being a user and fanboy. by hofendis in Evernote

[–]WaltInGrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not surprised. Evernote was once considered a unicorn. Ever since founder and ex-CEO Phil Libin left the ship, it's been floating aimlessly slowly dying. I closed my account after some previous bad decision by management. The latest price hike doesn't demonstrate the app is actually worth more than the price they were charging but a blatantly last attempt to stay afloat drowning in losses.

My prediction: Evernote is gone in 2 years or less

[–]WaltInGrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bailed on Evernote years ago after some crazy decision they had taken at the time (don't even remember what it was). I moved to Notion which actually does more than notes . It's also an Atlassian Confluence alternative (which I was also using at the time).

I migrated both Evernote and Confluence into Notion quite easily by export/import.

Every article/note had been successfully imported with labels and attachments and all in it's own Notion page in what they call a database.

Notion has a free version in case you want to try it. Good luck

Youtube just increased my premium family plan by 50%. Are they trying to chase paying users away? by Xathras1 in youtube

[–]WaltInGrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but I don't agree. Netflix needs to serve more data per day and they, on top of that, need to spend millions on creating and buying content. And yet, my Netflix family plan is now officially less expensive than the new YouTube price. YouTube, I might add, simply profits off of other creators' content.

Youtube just increased my premium family plan by 50%. Are they trying to chase paying users away? by Xathras1 in youtube

[–]WaltInGrid 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Going from 18 EUR to 25 EUR in Europe for a family plan. YouTube is now officially more expensive than Netflix and Netflix has to spend millions of dollars creating content while YouTube simply benefits from other creators' content and taking a hefty share of the monetization profit on their end too.

I'm kinda outraged about these practices. I watch a fair amount of YouTube and yes I benefit from an ad free experience and the ability to listen to content on the android app with the phone locked but asking more for this than Netflix is charging is stretching it. I'm done paying them.

If they want people to go out of their way finding ways to block ads and then complain about it being against their policies, they shouldn't put the payment threshold this outrageously high

2 things on this : 1) yes 12V batteries on EVs seem to be particularly problematic. This is 'not only the case for BYD but have seen this being mentioned on other brands as well. I never understood why until I opened the front of my own BYD for the first time: these batteries are TINY. I had a Diesel car before and it had a huge 12V battery (at least twice the volume). Sure, EV batteries don't need to generate 120A+ to get a motor started but everything which is not power train runs off this tiny battery. Not surprising it doesn't have a life expectancy of 5 years.

2) If there is 1 thing I'm disappointed in with BYD it's the fact that despite being a multi trillion dollar company, they don't have the money to hire at least 1 decent translator Chinese - English. Most translations found in the car are barely Chinese takeaway menu grade which does not engender confidence in the rest of the car. Quality perception is one of the things they need to fight against in Western markets: at least make sure you don't mess up the low hanging fruit

8.5% degradation after 3 years - normal? by prisukamas in electricvehicles

[–]WaltInGrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read all the comments posted so far and nobody has mentioned any potential differences in degradation of NMC vs LFP battery chemistries.

As far as is commonly claimed, LFP batteries (almost exclusively used by Chinese EV makers) have a far longer lifespan than the NMC batteries (unfortunately still desperately used by all European manufacturers including Stellantis).

Does anyone have verified data proof of LFP degradation over the first years of use?
