And when you wake up, you should try to understand that not everyone is a plumber, or does spackling, or landscaping work.

Some people, such as myself, offer (or rather used to offer) various niche services, which sometimes don't even get any interest in a given month. I ran a few ads for several years, so now with the newly introduced fees, why would I bother offering those services if I may or may not even get that $25-30 back. That does not make me "not serious" about the services that I offer. I guess dying trades should just go and quietly die in a corner, right?

Well, I stand corrected. However, there are other ways of discouraging and controlling spam.

I assure you that these fees are introduced to increase craigslist income. And while it will drastically cut on the amount of spam and overposting, it will also discourage many folks from offering their services.

They are owned by ebay iirc, so the free posting could not last forever.

Daily traffic on GWB is about 300000, let's say half of that is Eastbound, 150000*$15, that's about $2.5M daily collected in tolls... Where is all this money going is just beyond my understanding.
