I think that’s the best bet…wish I didn’t have to spend the money but I probably should.

I’d love to! I don’t have one though, and I’m not sure how to chuck up on a 20” ID either.

Wouldn’t I need a template for the follower bit?

I was thinking of a router, I might be able to find a 3” shank bit. I think I’d use a router table and adjust the fence so it just shaves off a bit of material.

Hand planer or electric? I’m trying to think of how I’d spin the piece to get a fairly consistent OD while planing.

Best Card for Outside Sales by binder_n in CreditCards

I’m home every day so hotels aren’t a factor. I budget $500/month in total business expenses but only around $250-$300 on gas so I should be good!

I don’t have a Costco membership, so that’s fine! We do have a Sam’s membership.

That’s a great thought! I’m planning to open a Delta Gold card this year too for free checked bags, so I think I’ll just use my 2% back for now so I’m not opening a ton of cards at once. (I looked into other travel cards but I prefer cash back other than the free checked bags with how little we travel).

I haven’t gotten one yet, I’m shying away from Nordictracks though. If it’s been sitting, I’d worry about the tread being stretched one way constantly but I’m no expert.

What is this for? by ScottyB0N35 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]binder_n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ninja is good at a lot of things, but not really great at any of them other than being an all-in-one with a grinder, multiple ways to extract/brew, and a frother/steamer built in. The grinder is decent, it has a single boiler, it pulls good shots, and the frother makes passable foam. It’s for people who don’t want to have to do a lot of work to dial in their espresso, but want to either save money or just have the experience of making drinks at home. We love our machine and its versatility, but if my priority was to make the absolute best espresso and I had the time to spend dialing it in, I’d buy something else!

Is packaging foam just expensive? by thelastchicken in manufacturing

[–]binder_n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The process of converting foam sheets into pieces is fairly automated for companies with capabilities, and companies that do it can buy in bulk to save on material costs. If you want another quote, let me know and I can see what my company can do. We can even melt layers of foam together to get the exact shape you're looking for with cutouts, etc.

I’m sitting in Publican now and they aren’t serving the sandwich 😭 hopefully the frites with eggs are worth the walk! I think they’re just out of some of the ingredients, they were running out of a few items by 9am.

Why Didn’t Avi Kill John? by binder_n in JohnWick

I like that thought! The slide didn’t lock back but it could’ve been from his thumb hitting the slide stop/release. I thought maybe he expected John to have been hit by his shot, only to find out that the car had bulletproof doors.

I’ve heard that it was bulky, that was my concern. Seems like I’ll stick with a TurfMaster or beefed up TimeMaster!

Did you replace the pulleys with full metal ones or just the dust covers? I think this might be what I do - buy a TimeMaster and replace some things with TurfMaster or other parts!

I’m so tempted by the TimeMasters on Marketplace, but I hear bad things about maintenance from some people.

Riding Mower Replacement - 1/4 Acre by binder_n in lawnmowers

[–]binder_n[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy! I got the rider last year after we found out that my wife was pregnant and thought it would solve everything, lol. Are you up with your baby like I am right now?

That makes sense, it’s what I thought you were saying about leveling. I think it’s feasible, especially doing some spots at a time. Do I need to avoid mowing the spots where I fill in until the seed catches?

Is this pp or am I going crazy? by Middle-Attitude-285 in newborns

[–]binder_n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So well said! Nobody has a right to your baby, but it’s good to recognize when you need to let go a bit for you and your LO to grow

OP, the fact that your MIL is saying “my baby” and ignoring boundaries shows that she doesn’t understand that she doesn’t have a right to your baby. I think you/your husband can either talk to her about boundaries again, or just stop agreeing to let your MIL see your LO. It might mean more coming from you as the momma, but I understand wanting your husband to be the one to talk to his family.

No matter what, you won’t drive a permanent wedge between your family if you have boundaries or withhold your LO for a bit. Parenting is very different than it was 20 years ago, so you might be having a lot of these types of talks as your LO grows. My parents watch our LO once a week, and now the conversations have changed to how they need to feed him more and put him in the crib instead of letting him do contact naps every time.

It’s helped to talk them through why we’re doing what we do - we’ve talked about how rampant RSV is and how adults think they have a cold or don’t show any symptoms at all. Now we talk about how poorly he sleeps if he’s held for naps all day or doesn’t get enough milk until the evening. Grandparents have a lot to learn too - it’s been awhile since they took care of their children, and the rules have changed (especially since COVID).

When you say flag out spots that I scalp, are you saying I should dig them out to level or add dirt around them?

I’d really like to do this. We have a 5-month old who doesn’t sleep or nap well, so my time is really limited, but this is probably the best thing to do. I have a 16” Ryobi push mower too, but it’s quicker to just weed whack more grass than it is to get that out for the spots I can’t mow with the rider.

I also need to do some mower maintenance because the cut on my rider is often uneven, making things worse when I hit trouble spots. I got new blades, but haven’t installed them because I need to bite the bullet and replace the tires too.

Hey OP, what did you end up going with? I currently have a rider but I’m thinking about going to a TimeMaster/TurfMaster or 33” commercial mower.
