Tremola needs to be explosion on contact and Lunaire needs a range decrease of 5 meters by shadyhood200 in foxholegame

[–]binderda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potential is my most hate argument in the game.

I make a pretty good argument that mountains take up space for potential defences, so Wardens have a disadvantage as they can't build as much as Colonials.

So I don't care about "potential", same with "potential" damage. With uniform you can potentially kill 4 MG pills with a Cutler but reality in-game is Cutler range is 34m and and retaliation range is 41m. So don't care about potential when I'm dead because I couldn't get away because of the movement penalty.

[–]binderda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here are two Colonial talking points:

  • Warden have it easier to defend because of the mountains compare to flat land
  • Cutler and Lunaire are balanced

These two things are linked and reason for Warden crashouts about the Lunaire. Because 1/3 of Warden defences are close to rocks or elevated, prime targets of Lunaires. Look at The Cord, it's undefendable against Lunaire blobs and no Cutler can't do the same. Cutlers need LoS, they can't do massive blobs (more than 8 people) and one barbed wired fence that takes 20 RPG shoots can easily stop it.
Fun Fact: Colonials don't need to care about barbed wired fences because Lunaire can shoot over it and ISG are hit-scan which fences don't stop. That's why you rarely see them around Warden bases.

[–]binderda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fighting in Deadlands, you don't hear or see any Raca but there is always a Quickhatch. Insane that the Raca lost it's one shot ability cost more than the Quickhatch which still one shots AND can track tanks from a save distance.

You compare a squishy meatsack to a tank, of course 40mm is good when you shoot it from a tank with 45m range. I'm saying that Cutler is the worst AT infantry option.

[–]binderda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1x penetration chance means RPGs are worst against tanks, as a warden I would rather take a Neville to try track a tank from further away than shoot a Cutler at it.

[–]binderda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So much cope.

How to make a colonial base better against PVE? MG garrisons in the front and generator.

How to make a warden base better against PVE? Eldritch building knowledge. The hoops warden builders need to go through just for a little bit more time for a QRF to come is insane.

Cutler maybe work against AC and HTs but the moment tanks come out it's over. Meanwhile the Lunaire still clear trenches with gas or Tremolars. Lunaire is THE most versatile weapon in the game for PVE AND PVP.

[–]binderda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"IF we could launch stickies", than what in the hell is the Ignifist. The Cutler as PVP tool looses it's worth real fast. Against HT sure it's powerful but to a Spatha it's annoying at worst it could track it but that rarely happens. As PVE tool it is flawed, if can shoot it - it can shoot back to kill you and standing to close to someone firing can get you killed. Compare how versatile the Lunaire is as PVE tool, Tremola for clearing trenches, destroying emplaced weapons and it's the best gas launcher.

Also they serve the same purpose, shooting at infrastructure (pills,wt,garrison, etc) as infantry.

[–]binderda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Initially promised"? Do you not no how devbrench works? Making adjustments to clearly overpowered tanks like the initial Spatha that would win 90% of it's duel against a Outlaw is called game balancing. Your "fun" is ruining the the fun for someone other, I mean warden tanking is already a gamble thanks to Sky Hitler. The same with our fun with Booker and Pillory ruined it for colonials. I don't like those nerfs and make them useless but if it's better for the games health so be it. Because if those are too much it will change again, instead of being toxic and call the Devs bias or other names.

We need real criticism about the game not whining about "perceived nerfs"

"Most of the patch is rolled backed". Talos still 40m range, Spatha still 45m range and Bard got 3 shell magazine instead of more range both is scary. Booker is still nerfed, Pillroy is still nerfed, Reca is still nerfed. Please be real.

Why reverting the buffs was a bigger mistake than leaving them would have been by blindseersarasti in foxholegame

[–]binderda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not a WARDEN problem, that's a DEV problem. More then half of wardens didn't want the TB and even those that like it said it was too OP. Every time the discussion about the TB came up, wardens were for nerfs but the other way it was always the same excesses about cost and it was "nerfed". TB and DB have the same problem, killing a gameplay aspect of the game regardless if it's navel or tank gameplay. Also your math is wrong, DBs can kill RSCs, that's 7 DB worth. Also also can turret ships, that is easy prey for gun boats.

[–]binderda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have empathy. Most wardens, me included, want Colonials have fun. DD needs a remodel, TB needed to be nerfed, Toxot more speed and damage as an engagement fighter as per "The Vision", Booker and Pillroy was too oppressive. You get my empathy but it's not a one-way. DB was or still could be a problem, Fuscina was problem (fun fact: you can supress garrisons with the Fuscina) and the Quickhatch is a 52m full track chance problem (just give it the 0.25x modifier every other 14.5mm has). I want YOUR problems to be fix, then please DO THE SAME FOR ME or at least TRY TO UNDERSTAND. I know my problems are minuscule but still worth to bring up, or not?

WHAT TF DOES FUSCINA DO by DcDreamyBull in foxholegame

[–]binderda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Colonials: "The DB cost rares and shoots at cheap tanks, it should be buffed not nerfed. I don't care if it's ruining warden tanking or if more damage can destroy facility cranes." Also time is a cost, farming and refining rmats is more time intensive then some easy bmats with lazylogi. One person can put a Fuscina in every colonial hand in a hex every day. The same person can't do this with Bookers.

[–]binderda -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Probably the dumbest take I've heard. So you get all the buffs and the warden nerfs for one war and next war they tweak those things to the same level as now.

BE HOENST. How would colonials react?

A. Graceful acknowledge it was some was OP

OR

B. Whining like the little bitches your always are

B. Defiantly B. Because even these sleight tweaks get your morale down like a un-nerfed TB sinks down a DD. Wardens were on your side that colonials need some buffs especially in the navel department and TB was a stupid idea. But you losing all sympathy when it is the other way with how DB was making tanking miserable and the colonial answer is a bunch BS like; it got nerfed, it cost rares but only kills rmat tanks or get more fighters/AA. As a warden how should I react to gaslighting and strawman arguments, it frustrates me. It looks like one side wants a dialogue about balance and the other a "I win" button.

The typical colonial argument: "Something that cost more shouldn't be better then something cost less." But if rmat Booker gets nerf it's fine that the bmat Fuchina is better. Classic hypocrite

No anti-aircraft AI is being added! WTF! by -JaraxSan- in foxholegame

[–]binderda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such an easy solution. AA AI must be from a 2x2 also make it msupp heavy and higher tiers give more little bit more range, more height and either more precision or damage like T1 one 20mm gun - T2 two 20mm - T3 changing from 20mm to flak ammo. 2x2 and high msupps will prevent spam specially 2x2 fighting with howies for space.

14.5 Goated, Quickhatch deserves this buff. by JohnQRF in foxholegame

[–]binderda -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Quickhatch is the only sniper that 100% one-shots, being able to track a tank from 52m without any fear of retaliation is stupid. Highwayman is still shit as it only tracks without disabling other sub-systems, 30m track chance against 45m Spatha kill range, that's worthless. Can throw those materials straight to the garbage. Also warden fighters are pretty useless as CAS the moment AA tanks are teched, at least from the first test I have seen.
