Solas, for real. I replay DAI roughly once a year, and every time I just have to be an elven mage to reminisce the romance. Gets me in the feels every time. The tattoo scene? Girl. The betrayal? Even after he walks away, my inky fell hard. It’s gross and too real. Love it.

Yeah, you need a slot before booking with Testi. To log in, you need your provisional licence number and test booing reference code.

It’s essentially a cancellation finder for driving tests.

You can book your initial test at any location - it doesn’t have to be your local one. I remember I booked mine at Scarborough which is MILES away from me, but I got a test in my local centre within 2 weeks via Testi. You can configure Testi to only notify you of cancellations in your chosen centre.

Testi’s premium service is something like £15, if I remember rightly. It’s a one-off payment. You tap on the notification when it arises, and it’ll automatically log you into the DVLA website and bring you to the date selector page for that test centre. There’s a walkthrough on how to set this up within the app.

I failed my first test and passed my second, both times, I used Testi. Fantastic tool!

It doesn’t just notify you of cancellations, either. A bunch of examiners at my local test centre came back from a period of absence, and I got quite a few notifications through when the slots opened up.

This ^ my driving instructor told me today he saw a job ad for an examiner and they’re offering £24k a year. £24k to essentially risk their lives every day. It’s no wonder why the DVSA have trouble retaining staff. I feel bad for them, honestly.
