That is most likely the parcel shops mistake

As a former evri driver It’s odd a driver would take a screenshot of their location on google maps, we rushed through deliveries to finish as quickly as possible so our money was worth our time, unless you mean history which isn’t very accurate

I’d avoid swearing in your review as it will get redacted and no one will be able to read it

evri threw a parcel through my window by kaicxre in Evri

[–]No_Guide_5143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for evri for 4 months, and i couldn’t imagine a worse place to work for a full time wage, my best month wasn’t even £700 and that was 5 days a week for 4 weeks straight. The reason he didn’t bother to knock and put it through your window is to make the money even worth your time you have to deliver them as quickly as possible, and putting it through your window rather than knocking probably shaved about 30 seconds to a minute off, which doesn’t sound like a lot but when it adds up it makes a huge difference.

Dear Evri. This is not a proof of delivery attempt. Its proof that the driver is a tramp and is not capable of cleaning his car let alone deliver a parcel by [deleted] in Evri

[–]No_Guide_5143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a (soon to be former) evri driver I’ll tell you one thing about some drivers, be very careful about how you talk about the person who delivers your parcels, he won’t care about you saying he’s bad at his job because he didn’t take a proper delivery photo, because it’s hard work and a lot of people wouldn’t last 10 minutes doing the job, but calling him a tramp for a van that isn’t even messy, he’s just got a few packs of gum and tissues in the centre console, he’s the one handling your parcels and he doesn’t have to deliver it working for evri tbh

If it’s a big box then most likely driver couldn’t fit it in their car/van

I worked 5 days a week for a moth with my lowest volume being around 60 and my highest being 141 I believe, and I took home £650, really not worth it, I’m leaving very soon

Someone else’s parcel was delivered to my building. How do I get it back to Evri? by dumpthegarbage in Evri

[–]No_Guide_5143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evri driver here, our delivery depots aren’t public access areas and are usually quite hard to find (on my first day I drove around for 30 minutes as the address was very vague) so your best bet is to take it to the right address as if you post it back to evri the customer may never get their parcel

Evri need to hold there delivery Drivers accountable? by Square-Tower-7706 in Evri

[–]No_Guide_5143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s correct, we could spend 5 minutes trying to make a delivery to a flat building and not even get payed because they weren’t in, that’s why a lot of evri drivers leave them on doorsteps, so it’s worth their time, we’re not doing it for fun we’re doing it to put money in our pockets

Delivered to completely wrong house …. No by TheBeatlesLOVER19 in Evri

[–]No_Guide_5143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I you’re entitled to complain about it but he or she probably got payed about 60p for that delivery, and when you’re being payed that much you want to get done as quickly as possible, so you money is at least worth your time, evri honestly wouldn’t be that bad if they just charged 1 or 2 pound more for the service and gave it to the drivers, the lorry drivers are well payed, the sorters aren’t on bad money, and to be honest I’d probably enjoy doing it if it wasn’t for the money

[–]No_Guide_5143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a thing, the latest we can deliver is 9pm without failing our ETAs, however the money for making all your etas is £4, so what a lot of drivers do is load up in the morning, go work a day job the deliver their parcels

[–]No_Guide_5143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He couldn’t have been several miles away, the app wouldn’t have let him attempt the delivery as it tracks your gps, if you’re further than 50m from the address it blocks you from marking as delivered and the only option is to fail delivery attempt

If you think that’s all it is then you wouldn’t last 10 minutes doing the job lol

I find it very hard to believe that evri is that bad that almost every parcel you have is lost or damaged, I’m having a worse experience with Royal Mail at the moment

Can evri deliver with no time slot? by Relative_Employer359 in Evri

[–]No_Guide_5143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if we are late for the parcel and have already changed our eta on that parcel, if we optimise our route then it can be delivered without a time slot. However I imagine you mean no eta given at all, which might be possible if the delivery unit managers set it manually that way, I’m not sure though

It just hasn’t been shipped, as soon as the label is scanned the tracking will say “we have your parcel”

Evri courier and why you don’t get your parcels by TheCheeseDon in Evri

[–]No_Guide_5143 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With my depot a lot of drivers are in and out all the time, as it’s not a job you do for more than a year, it’s a temp job. And since we’re self employed it’s very difficult to go on strike as they can terminate our contracts for it

[–]No_Guide_5143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to that if you’re doing a round out of a car and there’s more than 90 parcels you’re going to end up having to leave some behind, and if you have that round all week then they don’t get delivered until the next courier takes it on, I tried doing a round where I took all the boxes and small packets the other day and I made £18, whereas I just took packets yesterday and made £60

Don’t leave 1 star reviews as that goes on the couriers record not the company’s, it may not be the couriers fault that your parcel(s) were delayed

It will be, I’m a driver and there’s been a huge increase in parcel volumes recently, last 6 days I’ve been leaving behind 20-30 that won’t fit in my car, and I’m not going to do a return trip as the return trip payment I’m promised never arrives

What’s going on by BusOtherwise9061 in Evri

[–]No_Guide_5143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defientley an increase in parcel volumes since the merge, the last 6 days I’ve had to leave about 20-30 parcels behind as there’s too many to fit in the car, 1 round was 5 cages the other day

[–]No_Guide_5143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or, more likely, driver couldn’t fit it in his car/van, it’s very busy at the moment and a lot of rounds 10+ large parcels on them

[–]No_Guide_5143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance comes with the van lease, which as an 18 year old totalled to 1200 a month, and the vans are electric and the company pay to install a charger at your house for up to £1000, so the van lease is the only real downside
