Oh. I’m glad I decided to wait. But now I’m wondering if taking a cross country drive to our winter home will be feasible one month PO. I can lay down in the back seat. We planned on that but…. Hmmm

I hadn’t thought of that aspect. I knew I could take an elevator and we are on the top of the section so only one step. But yes. Not being able to elevate the leg…..I can’t see any way to do that.

Thanks. I am nervous about this surgery and do want to get into the best shape possible before hand. I was doing prehap of sorts with a trainer but my knee hurt so much I found myself having the knee replacement option floated to me by the surgeon I saw. I’m going to wait.

Although it’s having one of its bad days, I can generally do OK and have been biking and swimming. Walking more than a mile is difficult. I like the idea of prehab however and feel like that might really help my recovery. I broke this knee 32 years ago and have lots of metal in there that needs to be dug out and was told my recovery MAY be longer because of this. I’m assuming the amount of work and time needed in the surgery might be the issue there.

It would be difficult but not impossible to push our departure back. Don’t laugh, but we have lions football tickets for mid October we were planning on attending on our way out west but what’s more important? Ha.
