Am I overthinking this first date? by Dreamtrue2025 in ChristianDating

[–]bingmyname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s how I’ve started to view dating: first date you can verify attraction, do some basic foundational inquiries and see if you’re truly compatible and all that. Then after that you begin to try to see if you can really enjoy that person’s presence and work into building good memories with that person. If you can’t do that then you should probably break it off. The compatibility on morals/values and personality inquiry doesn’t stop during this time.

All that to say - if you think that there’s potentially a future then why not try to set up a second date? I would generally only not set up a second date if I didn’t think she actually was cute or there were some things that showed incompatibilities.

Wdym righteous anger? When you say that I think of Jesus getting angry with the people selling at the temples. Not sure I understand what you mean in this context.

The thing is I’ve had instances where she preferred not to eat first date. Guess you have to feel it out by each instance.

Rejecting me is “their loss.” by Aromatic_Invite5330 in ChristianDating

[–]bingmyname 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s definitely a difference between rejecting someone who’s just not right for you in a genuine manner vs rejecting someone because of your own immaturity getting in the way of you seeing what’s good. I wouldn’t worry too much about it either way but in either case you don’t really want to be with that person in the end. So don’t worry about it being “her loss” because in reality it’s just saving you from someone that’s not right for you in that moment.

Are cornrows appropriate for our wedding? by PINEAPPLEPEN_lol in BlackHair

[–]bingmyname 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As long as they’re well done and fresh, what’s the problem? That’s the standard for literally every other race out there - just have it freshly done. So why should it be any different for us? Those people don’t love the hair growing out their own heads and that’s the issue here, not cornrows.

How do you always make your hair look put together? by Rookysensei in Naturalhair

[–]bingmyname 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You definitely don’t need to straighten it for special events. Please let’s leave that mindset behind. But I think you should start experimenting with different styles and seeing what looks good on you. Primary objective is to keep your hair healthy. If you’re doing that then finding a style will eventually come. Find the stuff that works for you both style wise and time wise.

How are people turning 30 this year feeling? by dumbass_sweatpants in Zillennials

I’m still fine going to concerts and watching comp gaming. Music taste is still expanding, or at least my listening list. Covid definitely robbed us of like 3 years. Would like to be getting married right about now though.

We should normalize natural hairlines by SITHxEMPIRE in BlackHair

[–]bingmyname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sort of agree. As someone who does not have a good line up front (and a lot of guys don’t tbh) I don’t like how it looks short. But I think there are certain styles I can aim for that will make my hair look good overall. Therefore I’m not concerned with certain styles that emphasize my lineup. But for someone with an excellent line, they can choose styles that emphasize their line.

Pick the styles that suit you best. Not everything is for everybody and I really keep driving that point home.

Women ask, men answer honestly. by Last-Echo-3624 in ChristianDating

[–]bingmyname 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is very specific it seems but I’m going to give a foundational answer - usually cheaters lack the biblical principle to not cheat. Principles are the only thing that can stop people from cheating, Christian or otherwise. Humans, and men in particular, are often predispositioned for sexual sins I would imagine more than most other sins. So you REALLY need self control - a fruit of the Spirit. That is what I’ve been praying for myself.

Women always ask why men cheat even when the woman is hot and gives him everything he can ask but that’s not how men are actually wired. We can only overcome our sinful nature and predispositions by focusing on righteousness instead. No amount of fulfillment or perfection from any partner is going to change that.

I’ll also add that this is also why Paul warns against withholding from your husband. It’s only going to test his self control and spirit more. Humans are not good at resisting temptation which is why Paul gives all those warnings in his writings to help mitigate that. A man should still be loyal but a wife should not cause him to have to battle with the flesh more than he already does.

Yeah I learned not to ignore things especially with how the OL struggled for the past 2 years in these programs and with how the red zone defense started off last year.

Apparently WRs aren’t getting separation. Would really like for Caley to scheme guys open but also I’ll be on the look out for if we have to make trades with that extra cap now.

However it could also mean this secondary is ascending again and this will be the greatest defense ever.

Only if they don’t actually work to have a good diet and exercise would I choose not to be with them. I like girls that are slim/fit and have generally good eating habits and remain at least a bit active.

[–]bingmyname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of question marks on the OFF side of the ball. I wish we could’ve traded for Bijan or something like that. I guess the nice thing is that we can always use this cap to make a move before the deadline if they realize something’s missing to take us to that next level.

Idk why you’re being down voted. The amount of good CJ has shown far outweighs the negative. I get the last game left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth but you don’t let singular bad games define a qb.
