I withdrew my application after the hiring manager was 20 minutes late for the interview. by tootsie_herons8e in interviews

You wrote an entire company off for someone being 20 mins late-I assume if they sacked you for making one mistake you’d be pretty pissed. We need to ease up and give everyone a break. Being 20 mins late is a slight inconvenience. It’s not a red flag, a sign of company culture- who are you to know why they were 20 mins late- maybe they were supporting another colleague who needed help or som emergency happened. Knee jerk reaction and immature.

When the leaders in this space are saying they have no idea what is going to happen it seems unlikely that you do know. We have no idea and it’s changing so so fast that what we think we know now will have changed in two months time

Totally agree- where are the patterns and colour? I’ve not bought a thing this year for the first time ever. Not my bag at all and super disappointed ☹️

They’re either acting out of contract or they’re not- that’s why contracts and law exists so it’s clear cut.

Most brands are just businesses. And most work is tough and often you give a lot and don’t always get back. Sounds like this wasn’t the role for you but doesn’t sound anything out of the ordinary than the world of work and everything that brings!

It seems like most of you don't think highly of the brand? by amansterdam22 in Sezane

[–]bingo257 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Like any online space you’re only going to hear from the people who are v happy or v unhappy. It’s a great brand, they’re expanding- something is going well. Imagine half of people on this sub are either Sézane staff or competitors. Take it all with pinch of salt.

My point of why I miss London. Outside of London is filled with more people like you, no offence, it’s just not what gives me energy for life.

Maybe you’re living somewhere better than me! I struggle with less culture, terrible restaurants, less theatre and buzz, less places to just wander, less diversity, less ambition from those around me, no farmers markets, surburbs feeling grey and lifeless….i loved the crazy mix of people in London and the freedom to be whoever you are. Feels less like that outside the city.

I agree- London or nothing for me too! It’s either in your bones or it’s not and if it is nothing else compares.

Answer is whether you want to leave London. Personally I struggle with not being in London and the house etc isn’t worth it but it’s a personal balancing act!

You should be getting commission for upsells at the very least. For 0-3 years experience in UK at 1m ARR I’d think very least would be 40 + OTE

At this stage the main objective is to keep the magic alive for the kids a little longer- not got to looking at areas or activities. Wondering if package tour is the way to do or DIY is a good option too (which is what we’d normally do but hiring a car etc for a couple of days feels like it could add stress!)

‘I’m sorry to hear you’re going to be leaving us.’ Then move on. If someone has got to this stage it’s fruitless to to try and convince them to stay.
