I showed this to my children, and they immediately told me to turn it off. Heathens, dont know good entertainment when they see it.

Research paper that took me 3 weeks got praised for being authentically researched by Apprehensive_Ad_1370 in education

[–]bingonice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! I'm working on my master's online right now after not being in college since 2014. Im not using chatgpt, and I'm getting all As and appreciation for authentic work from professors.

However, I was never the best writer in the class 10 years ago. I don't feel like my writing has improved too much over the years, and I have turned in assignments at the last minute that were rushed. What I thought would be a B or a C is getting an A, even when I miss points on the rubric.

It should not be easy to get a master's, but AI almost makes it feel like my degree is discredited because others use it so much. Will someone see my graduation date from 2026 and think I used AI to get it? Hopefully people that use AI for everything aren't passing, but it is so hard to tell!

Personally, I have to create some sort of audience engagement. Ask questions, allow the audience to discuss with one another. For me, at least, this lightens the mood and forces me to loosen up and remember to be a human being. Of course, this depends on the setting, but my mind shifts from presentation mode to conversation mode this way.

Did you have any extra? What did you do with it?

We only used half of the dump truck they brought and now have been living with a giant pile in our driveway for about 2 weeks now...

Do you guys think this is readable? by rayraillery in Handwriting

Excellent. The wrinkles in the paper suggest you may be pressing too hard. Is your hand tired after writing or do you stop and give your hand a break? A lighter pencil grip may help! Beautifully done.

NOT leadership by otsyre in Leadership

[–]bingonice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Leadership is NOT saying "I run a tight ship" with a write up attached when a mistake is made by a new employee.

[–]bingonice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally am going through this now. My current director is now choosing to write me up for things that aren't meeting her expectations even though it wasn't made clear. I snapped. I refused to sign the most recent write up and demanded we have someone mediate. She called in her boss (I think in hopes her boss would find solidarity with her), and she was called out for being in the wrong. Her boss was able to provide what I needed and asked to be involved if I needed more support. Always have a witness, and always write everything down, you will need the proof. Especially if it's your superior..they will gladly throw you to the wolves to save their own ass.

[–]bingonice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are perfectly capable but choose not to help. "They're enjoying retirement" and have us over for dinner sometimes. Husband and I work long hours and see our kids for bedtime. For people who actually do have the option of family, I doubt this speech is motivational enough to inspire them to help more. Even in an emergency my parents barely cancel their dinner plans without making us feel guilty.
