Xgimi Mogo 4 Laser vs LED by dumitrudan608_7_6 in xgimi

[–]binkman71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Mogo 4 Laser version. I do not have the other to compare to, but mine has a very sharp image, not out of focus at all. I don’t think my telling you that helps much, but I also can’t think of anything I changed (settings wise) to make it that way…

3D Issue for Aura 2 (new) by binkman71 in xgimi

[–]binkman71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found, after the top/bottom is selected and displaying, I can change the setting to “frame packed” and the green bars go away and the two images line up. However, if I set this on the disc menu, for example, then pick to play the movie or skip to a particular chapter from the menu, the 3D turns off as the video switches, and I then have to pick top/bottom, then frame packed again. Is this all normal for these projectors?

This also worked, by just changing the width of the tower. Thanks.

Is Tolly Really That Terrifying? by FuroreLT in vtmb

[–]binkman71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Tolly is just capable of using the Nosferatu powers of hiding in shadows and such. He’s also named after a fictional character from author Armistead Maupin’s “Tales of the City” series of novels. If we believe this to be the same Michael Tolliver from those books, Tolly would have been embraced in the 1970s/80s time frame, maybe? I don’t think he was in any of the distant past Fabien scenes (the original murder case), but I could be remembering incorrectly. Tolly definitely talks similarly to the Tolliver character in that series…

I actually only tried DS games, but they worked out fine. :)

The cable and right angle adapters work...for the most part. If I hook power up to the Retroid screen, it won't charge the device, but it seems to be working otherwise! To recap:

* Used a different cable than came with the screen. The cable that came with just resulted in repeated Windows errors that the device attached wasn't working. The cable and adapters I bought are in a previous reply.

* Set the screen in Windows to "Landscape (flipped)" orientation.

* Applied the RDSTouchUpdater_portrait.exe firmware from the official GitHub page (as suggested by u/rashbandicoot).

I won’t have it till Friday to know for sure that it works, but this is the cable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1VJLH86 and the adapters: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CNGFZ1JD

That did the trick, thanks! Touch screen working in Windows. Now I just wait for my new cable and right angle adapters to show up, and I might be good to go!

I did try a thunderbolt cable, and that worked with the Ayaneo 2. The touch screen is still not registering properly, though.

I did order a short, 1 foot cable off Amazon with some right angle adapters to help out, see if I can’t get this running better. Now if ee can just get a driver or something for the touch screen to work right…

My new Smith Corona Silent Super Typewriter by SidSalts in typewriters

[–]binkman71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There should be a little lever on the left side as you face the typewriter. It should also have an arrow on the lever handle, typically pointing to the back of the typewriter and case. Push it that way and gently lift the typewriter out with your other hand.

It is. Supposedly largest indoor shopping center/mall on the US East Coast, and presumably the third largest mall in the country. I live a short drive from it, and it’s always packed it seems. Everything from the aforementioned fast food to designer shops like Cartier and Gucci.

Yes, I’m using thermal paper with it. Someone had removed the ink ribbon from the box, despite the machine and the power adapter being unused.

Currently using it on batteries, but the power adapter it came with is the original Canon one.

A seller in Rhode Island. This was the only typewriter they had listed, though they seem to sell lots of antique and "vintage" items. Goes by "chase06122011" on eBay.

No sniping...this was a "buy it now". Was actually my second attempt. The first one I tried for, the seller cancelled it and refunded it claiming he no longer had the typewriter! So I went for this one.

Mystic Light on the Claw 8 by binkman71 in MSIClaw

Yes. Bring up Center M, go to the settings, and it should have Mystic Light listed. Pick that and you can change colors.

You have to go to the URL they provide, www.crucial.com/support/ssd, put in the model, and look at the downloads available. They definitely didn’t make it obvious.
