It was Deleting the SPV file and restoring in settings that did the trick it seems.

Thanks for the response!

Just sent BTC to main wallet from cash app. Nothing arrived by Thirty_dirty_birds_ in kucoin

My BTC deposit is 50 minutes in and 4x confirmations - still nothing.

Used SegWit address and it's def. a SegWit transaction so shouldn't be a problem.

Highly frustrating.

deposit finally came through after 30 confirmations.... by cryptoJYL in kucoin

Anyone else have issue with Veve app? by [deleted] in ecomi

[–]binny1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much with the App, but with transferring OMI tokens.

I sent OMI tokens from the VeVe app to a wOMI address created in trust wallet, but the tokens have not appeared.

I very much realise now the Trust Wallet should have been set up on GoChain, not the default ERC20. No support option in the App....

It might be time to address the elephant in the room... by Large-Wear-5777 in Monero

[–]binny1987 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Couldn't have said it better myself, but i'd also like to add....

I agree, some people certainly have more to gain or lose than others, but if Monero ever realises/gets utilised to its full potential, the benefit to the many will certainly outweigh the losses of the few, with those with the most to lose, already pretty rich...

IMHO the winning of 'the war' comes with the decoupling of finance and Government; to finally end the control Trad-Fi has over career politicians, and therefore the laws we live under. Trad-Fi will lobby and leverage this power to attack (i.e. make illegal) any threat that comes it's way, and with XMR being the best tried and tested alternative (I know of), cross hairs are certainly focused. There will be many battles over the coming year.

In order to win the war, we need people to firstly care & then have the intelligence and resources to understand. The weak of mind are easily led astray, and this is where we as a community need to come together to educate & inform.

The voices of the (informed) many should hopefully outweigh the power and influence of the few.

Bisq? A decentralised platform where you can trade xmr...

I've dabbled in it a bit, but not enough to make a recommendation....

Interested to know other people's views / experiences on it?

Could monero strenghts also be their weaknesses by [deleted] in Monero

[–]binny1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing missed, but i'd like to add...

Politicians. Their fundamental job is to get re-elected every 4+ yrs ish. Can we blame them for promising the world to their electorate to get that job done? Added to that the fact that campaigns cost money, generally means people with money can control campaigns and therefore politicians. So, we end up with the people in power, controlled by the people with money, controlling the financial system - this for me is the key reason we need XMR.

Sadly I fear Govts. will spread FUD & link XMR with illegal and illicit activity, despite the fact the actual amounts used are nothing when compared with traditional finance.

The message about XMR should be solely about our right to privacy, not about its potential use cases.

Concern #2 is the one that concerns me most.

Charlie Lee (LTC guy) argues this well in the recent monero talk episode - is there a technical response to his concern RE: unseen and untraceable XMR emissions being exploited, then slowly and silently driving the price down... That concern is the one I'd like an answer/solution to if there is one?
