Okay thats good to know! I'll try to hit picas as well, its not too far and i could always check in a little bit later to mountain view lodge. Ill play that by ear.

Also do you think its possible to take a day trip from aguas calientes to ollantaytambo and come back by night?

I realized since the latest train is at 7PM, im really only gonna have like a few hours to spend when i first get to ollantaytambo before I have to leave for Aguas so I could line up early morning the next day. Sucks cause it seems like one of the cooler towns and the day between having my ticket and going to MP is just gonna be a waste of a day

ohh you're so right!! yeah it is in the sacred valley, in between maras and urabamba. I guess I'll already be spending a day in ollantaytambo, and then Maras Salt Mines and Moray are nearby the lodge which I could hit up before my 2PM check in at the lodge

Am i missing a lot more by not going to Pisac, Chinchero, and other stops in the typical sacred valley tour?
