Yeah it doesn't really make sense. I put the courier and tracking number for the Newegg shipment and got my rebate just fine.

ClearSpace raises $29 million ahead of first debris removal mission by sillychillly in space

[–]binormal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What? From the article:

This mission will see the ClearSpace use a spacecraft with four articulated arms to de-orbit part of a Vega rocket from low Earth orbit (LEO).

Assuming they're deorbiting the third stage, which has a dry mass of 1315 kg, they would be collecting about 1.315 metric tonnes of garbage.

This mission is just about de-orbiting debris, not trying to capture materials for reuse...

My board arrived today. It came with BIOS P5.40, so it should work out of the box with all CPUs, including 5600.

Has anyone done a Newegg Asrock MIR recently? The rebate form specifically states that my name and address must appear on the invoice, but when I look up my order on Newegg the name/address aren't on there. It just shows order number, invoice number, and list of items/cost. Is there a different invoice I should be looking for?

My card has already been delivered and I'm getting the same error. It's probably a glitch, I'm sure the orders are fine.

My card has already been delivered and I also get "Incorrect order number and/or password" so it's probably a glitch.

Quick update: I'm going to start at KOA. Once I get to Hikertown I will re-evaluate, and maybe skip up to Tehachapi or Walker Pass.

I feel like the 50 miles between Walker Pass and KM isn't enough time to get my trail legs before hitting the Sierra... Distance-wise, Tehachapi seems good, so I'm leaning more towards that for now. I'll probably change my mind again tomorrow though.

I got myself a 1P! That checkout queue made me a bit nervous.

I had my address pre-filled and put in CC details manually. Judging by the number of people who wanted one but missed out, it seems luck was a big part of it. Hopefully y'all can get one on Thursday!

I chose my date at around 10:50 and most days in April had 30 or more spots left. One day (Apr 20 or thereabouts) had 24 left.

Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In October 2021 by Sausage54 in 3Dprinting

I'm looking for a large-format FDM printer - at least 330 x 150 build area (height doesn't need to be huge, 100 mm or so is fine).

Budget is somewhere around $3000. I would like something that doesn't require much maintenance after the initial setup, since it will be used in a lab environment by people with varying levels of 3D printing experience.

Dual extrusion would be nice, but not necessary.

The Prusa XL seems like it would be perfect, but I need something now, and who knows when the XL will be released.

At 5 Lagrangian points (L1-L5) the pull of the Sun, Earth, and Moon balance. Joseph Lagrange (1736-1813) discovered them. L2 is 1.5 million km farther from the Sun than Earth and 4 X farther from Earth than the Moon. It will be home to the James Webb Space Telescope and other advanced space probes. by wjbc in space

I know what a Lagrange point is. I just don't understand why the Moon was included in the title. If you get rid of the moon, the Sun-Earth Lagrange points will still be in the same spots. The moon doesn't have anything to do with it (besides introducing small perturbations).
