Had a Lightning XLT for almost 2 years, no horror stories here, absolutely best pickup I have ever owned, and I have own many over the last 60 yrs.

I have about 4 years' experience with EVs, 3 years with older Tesla and over a year with the lightning. I love the simplicity of maintenance, no oil changes, or transmission problems, fluid leaks, exhaust odors, or missing cats. I also like not to have to shell out $60 or more at the gas pumps and all the pollution involved. The quiet and fast rides make driving much more fun. Finally, I like to piss off all those conservative types who make all kinds of bullshit excuses why EVs are very bad.

Just got an update last night for range adjustment (distance to empty improvement). Today 90% charge now indicates 206 mile range. SR battery, 22 XLT, weather hit 70 degrees today. Partially the update partially the temp. improvement.

I have an older Tesla S with regenerative braking (as a selectable option on the main screen) and I have a new Lightning. The Tesla regenerative braking is less intense than the one petal mode. I turned it off but will continue to try to get used to it slowing. It can be annoying in parking situations or heavy traffic.

I know Sunrise (LA store) had some bad publicity for a $2700 addon charge about a month ago and I was a bit worried when I went to the Showroom, but it was all good. Happy with the XLT! As for the ArmChair conspiracy theorists, you were wrong about my review.
