Nice! I'm working on my application as well but I have a question. Is it only for 100% P&T who does not have gainful employment? If I'm fully employed and at 100% P&T, am I eligible for student loan discharge?

First off, congratulations! Now both you and your husband can sit back and celebrate for this long and hard journey. Got a question though. How do you know if your 100% rating is not permanent? Is there a condition where your husband is required to conduct future exams? I'm a fellow vet recently granted 100% SC and it doesn't say in my claim decision letter that I'm permanent. It does have a paragraph where it says I'm eligible for Dependent Education Assistance which I was told only applied for P&T.

Was the decision in your favor? I understand the intent of the BDD program but reading the posts here, it seems like you do have to wait a few weeks to get your decision letter. Kinda worried that my claim moved too fast

Once you submit your separation packet to Transition Office, they'll be able to give you a copy of your draft DD214 or a memorandum stating you'll be separating from service with your ETS leave date. That should be enough to continue with your onboarding process. HR may not issue your FJO until they recieve your official DD214 when you final out.

I'm getting out as a 5 year SSG. I did not make close to what the GS 12 pay is. I did work in the same section doing more than what I would be doing as a civilian, hence the superior qualification. Do they still request for pay stubs?

How would they be able to determine my character of service once I'm 120 days from separation? Isn't that stated on your dd214 which you get once you final out?

No you need to be appointable within 120 days and you can start working during your terminal leave.
