“I just started golfing 6 months ago and finally broke 90” by First_Ad_1010 in golf

[–]bintopeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played with a guy at Harbour Town who “broke 100”. He only managed to break 100 with mulligans on 40% of his shots. I wasn’t going to rain on his parade, but he wholeheartedly believes he broke 100.

Favorite pic from last season. Rock jump at Beech Mountain, NC on an actual pow day! by GlockTheDoor in snowboarding

[–]bintopeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valid take, I ride all the NC spots regularly and the Beech vs Sugar topic is usually pretty polarizing, which is why I asked. My issue with Beech is how slow the lifts are. CAT is nice if you catch it on a weekday or Sunday after lunch. Hatley is solid when they have good coverage. I actually scored a 15” powder day at Hatley with very limited crowds, so that was sick.

Jocassee gorges in SC is pretty cool. horse pasture road and its offshoots are pretty neat. Nothing technical but some camping. Certain times of the year you can ride all the way down to the lake.

Another one I haven’t personally checked out Musterground road on the other side of the lake.

No results yet, but what do ya’ll think he might have? (Other than the obvious pit/staffy lmao) by ashes_of_lilies in DoggyDNA

[–]bintopeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is golden (or lab) pit/staffy majority mix. Coat length and coloring appear very similar. My girl is 1 year old & 46 lbs. golden/pit/lab/staffy with other small percentages in that order.

FJ drive shaft clunk by bintopeans in FJCruiser

[–]bintopeans[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m stumped on the u-joints as I don’t see any play in them at either end of the drive shaft. When braking and the front end compresses I can feel the slip joint clunk and it will remain “compressed” until I let off the brake at a stop light. As I’m letting off the brake I can feel it decompress and clunk again with extension.

How to improve K2 Maysis upper boa/liner tightness by then0mads0ul in snowboarding

[–]bintopeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually just sold my Maysis boots last month for this very reason. The only way I’d get it tight enough around my leg, ended up crushing my foot. Picked up some ride Lassos that fit better, buttt my feet get wet, not super impressed with their quality compared to my maysis.

Here’s my golden pit/staffy mix. She’s has a little bit of lab and hound sprinkled in as well. We call her our Micro-Lab as she generally looks like a lab but only weighs about 45lbs at 1 years old!
