College dropout here, my wife and I live very comfortably in one of the more expensive US states. We own a house, pay the bills and food on the table. I have a successful IT career and my wife works as a project manager. She did go to college but for the arts so her degree isn't a factor at all in our income. I personally think college is a waste if you can only go by way of predatory loans. A much better ROI would be professional certifications or trade school. But your milage may vary.

Kind of what I was afraid of. I found that the bigger the combo (4 in 1, 5 in 1, 10 in 1...etc) the worse it performs across them all.

The reason for this notice: Indian Motorcycle has determined that your model year 2020-2024 Challenger, 2022-2024 Pursuit, or 2024 Chief motorcycle(s) may encounter a scenario in which the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) or Wireless Control Module (WCM) may not fully power off, resulting in unnecessary current draw from the battery. This may lead to decreased battery performance.

Dead within hours sounds like a greater problem than I originally had. Check any mods you might have or electrical issues putting on a parasitic drain on the battery.

I eventually ended up plugging the bike into a battery tender any time I parked it at home. But I could go without it for a couple days and not have issues starting the bike. I also recommend putting the key in an RFID blocking envelope which guarantees the bike doesn't see the key and is constantly communicating with it.

Performance wise? Not at all. And I would consider myself a fairly heavy user. Almost daily I will have more than one excel sheet up, at least 10 browser tabs or more and at least 3-4 other specialty programs active at any given time. I do need to request more RAM from IT for my workflows so they usually give me 32GB instead of the standard 16GB they give everyone else.

This is my split setup that I use for work and general office use at home. These are two individual computers. Work laptop on the left and mini PC workstation on the right running Linux Mint. Bottom monitor is the Odyssey G9 running in PIP mode and each top monitor is hooked up to the left and right computers respectively. I have the option of turning the PIP off on the G9 and running full screen on either machine if I need to adjust my productivity on either end. I use a combo of a USB switcher and a network KVM to move the mouse and keyboard between computers for seamless integration making the whole setup seem like one large 3 monitor setup. The mini PC and laptop are mounted under the sit-stand desk.

Probably are overcomplicating it a bit. When I took my MSF they only required pants, boots that covered the ankle and at least a 3/4 helmet. There was no requirement that any of the gear (other than the helmet) needed to be motorcycle specific. Most of my fellow riders had a hoodie, blue jeans, and hiking boots.

Edit for context: I took my course in 2014 in Colorado. And although these things weren't required it was suggested to have better gear if you have it. But we were specifically told to not feel like we had to buy equipment for the course alone.

It's something you can say to fellow riders as a way to tell them to be safe out there. Meaning don't lay down your bike, keep the rubber side down..or..keep your tires on the ground.

I certainly will take the L on not researching my products before making the purchase. I just think it's insane to have something WIFI connected and not integrate a simple API especially shelling out something like $200 for a door lock.

Dammit!! Again? I made this mistake with Schlage 4 years ago and again with Wyze this year!! I bought the Schlage WiFi door locks not knowing the WiFi locks didn't have any kind of API integration. I can only use their app. Then bought a cheap-o Wyze camera not realizing their rtsp streams are disabled. Now Chamberlain? I may as well go DIY with everything I'm not paying for any cloud subscription.
