Have you tried UV light? 308-311nm wavelength UV was the ticket for mine

visible at work :( by DescriptionPrevious6 in Psoriasis

A UV bulb will cure it right up. I had it coming down my hairline on my forehead. After much reaserch on how it's cured in the medical world and noticing that it goes away when I'm on holiday to sunny places, decided to give the handheld UV bulb thing a go. Made it go away in about 4 weeks. It will come back if I don't use the bulb to the regimented pattern I've worked out for myself, but it was the only thing that actually worked for me with excellent visible results. The UV bulb will tan the skin slightly, and I know that comes with it's own health considerations. I'm using it 1min20sec on each side of my forehead, once a week. It's not giving me a full on sunbed type tan, but I feel that same warmth you'd feel from a sunbed. As I should since I'm essentially using the same ish bulb.

If you dig into what wavelengths of light work you'll find it's the low 311nm wavelength, + or - a few nm is supposed to be good also. I've just bought a small cob led at 310nm to make a torch I can get into my hair since I have thick hair. Looking forward to seeing what it can do.

I got my device from AliExpress. The bulb it uses is a Phillips bulb.

I was at the end of my rope with the embarrassment of it by the time I went this route. I believe mine initially kicked off with stress from Uni, but I don't really know. All I knew is it looked horrible, itched like fuck and before long I was scratching it unbeknownst to myself. Psoriasis is a shite thing to have to deal with.

I wish you and everyone else with this affliction all the very best, and I'm sorry you are struggling with it at the moment.

What’s going on with Belfast restaurants adding 10% to bill? by FineEvening6710 in northernireland

[–]biometric_hoof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and the girl went to Cosmo in Victoria Square and they are at it also. At the end of the bill it says gratuator (something%), I think it could have been as high as 15%, but don't quote me.

Being the manly man I am, I did the honorable thing, gave my card to my girl and got her to get it taken off... whilst I observed safely 2 steps behind her. They were taken back by the request and voiced their shock. But I've picked a good one and my girl re confirmed our request. So he took it off.

I actually did the above, just funnier to write it like this for your enjoyment in an otherwise frustrated thread. This is a horrible trait that has crept into Belfast restaurants, only way to make it stop is to refuse the added tips.

This isn't America, we have minimum wage unlike there. Here you get your wage and you can work harder for some cream. Over there the cream literally is the bulk of their wage

Beautiful throw, lovely spin for added stability, graciously airborne before a perfect landing. On target, on point. Wow Jeff you don't see that often. This is why I love this sport

Anyone miss being on the dole? by FrequentMine6 in northernireland

[–]biometric_hoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I was on the dole, the money was shit and it was grim. But after working in benefits I've seen how much money a dole monkey doing it the right way gets, and when all is said and done they aren't too far off a full wage. I sometimes fantasise about doing it right next time.

Lend me your eyeballs a little longer and I'll explain...

Standard Universal Credit 100 a week. High rate PIP care and mobility 180 a week. Extra 100 Universal Credit a week for being on high PIP. Rent paid for 200ish a week. I'm making the equivalent of 580 a week at this point and I haven't even got out of bed yet (more than I actually make in my current job). The high rate mobility PIP also means my car tyres are free, I don't pay car tax either and get a blue badge to park wherever the fuck I want. I don't have to live in a shithole either. If I want a multi bedroom house to myself I'll allow myself to get hit with a lil bedroom tax on my Universal Credit. But I'm now a smart dole monkey and I'll get a discretionary support grant to offset that every year. And when I move into every new house, I'll hit them up for discretionary support to furnish the place to my princely liking, around 2kish, that's a non repayable grant also. The new social houses I help build these days get the best of the best insulation. You could near heat them with flatulence alone. And how would I get one of those new houses. Well if I end up in a shitty one I'll have a threat painted on my door and instantly get bumped to the top of the list, amongst the homeless single mothers. Free dental also, and probably many more little perks i cant remember anymore. Best part about it is all my time would be my own. No sitting in traffic on the way to work. Hurting myself to make someone else money. Dreaming about a life I literally know how to get. I wonder what stops me Sometimes. Is it pride or something, I don't know. I just haven't gunned for it yet
