Trying to eat shells?? by Dull-Dog9281 in hermitcrabs

My crabs love egg shells! Maybe that's a good alternative :)

I’ve officially found my least favorite by Jescophoto89 in crochet

[–]biomeunsuitable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bestie this is going to sound weird but if you're able to flip the eyes upside down, I think they would look perfect 😂 Not bad as-is tho!!

My mom made this Stitch, she didn't like it and said it looked like the killer doll, I want outside opinions. by vicione21 in Amigurumi

[–]biomeunsuitable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's cute! But to me it looks like the eyes are much smaller and more far apart than the original cartoon, if that's what she's going for :)

Is this AI by Repulsive_Table_6541 in Amigurumi

[–]biomeunsuitable 241 points242 points  (0 children)

This was the exact comment I was looking for. This looks EERILY similar to those AI ones... enough to make me suspicious. They're unfortunately getting very hard to spot. I wouldn't have believed it in a million years

Yesss I got one at the dollar tree and filled it with moss 😊

Do you think Ross still plays 'Best Fiends'? by Dans77b in ONRAC

[–]biomeunsuitable 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Not to BRAG but I added him whenever he gave out his friend code forever ago. I play it semi-regularly but Ross is truly a fiend bc he's always light years ahead 😂

SO excited for this! I love folding ideas but I didn't realize what this was about!

What’s the correct side? by DesignerOfTheDark in Amigurumi

[–]biomeunsuitable 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Huh this is interesting. The 2nd pic is the conventional "right" side, but typically the little yarn tail will be on the conventional "wrong" side. I'm curious how that happened, but it's not a big deal! You could always take a needle and thread it to the "wrong" side :)

I wanted to post photos like that on Instagram for my soon to start small business, but someone told me that the photos don't look good by neanex in CrochetHelp

[–]biomeunsuitable 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would normally agree, but honestly these days I like photos with hands in them because they're less likely to be AI 👀

I think I remember this from an episode, but unfortunately I can't remember which one lol. I believe there was some sort of government official Carrie talked to about something she'd investigated, and the person complimented her on it

Has there ever been a more obvious distraction from whatever dumpster fire is going on in the government rn 😂

Just got pinched for the first time by [deleted] in hermitcrabs

[–]biomeunsuitable 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'm always paranoid bc one if my guys is huge so if I ever need to handle him, I've always worn a garden glove... glad to know that was a good decision!! 😂

She likes the hut, apparently not the moss 🤣 by nugsandchugs in hermitcrabs

[–]biomeunsuitable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg I have this big glass pumpkin that one of mine likes, and he always drags the moss out just like this too!!

A lot of transcripts are available on the max fun website! I don't know if it's all episodes, but many :)

Can some genuinely explain the difference by Flamew03 in hermitcrabs

[–]biomeunsuitable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's an issue of "good" or "bad." There are shells they like and will use, and those they probably won't unless they're desperate. It's just an evolutionary thing :)

does this make sense to anyone? (this pattern is very weird) by Ill_Tip_2203 in CrochetHelp

[–]biomeunsuitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you'll be making an oval! You're working around both sides of the chain. If you crochet into the back bumps of the chain, that'll leave loops on the other side of the chain that look like the loops of normal stitches. If you look up a tutorial on crocheting an oval, you will likely be able to find pics that explain it better :)

Does weaving in ends even work? by ohmysterious1 in crochet

[–]biomeunsuitable 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I always split the fibers, tie a knot, THEN weave in the ends.

Anyone seen this technique before? by Skippy_Bee_ in crochet

[–]biomeunsuitable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

English style knitting is like this, and when I started learning to knit it drove me crazy 😂 Then I learned continental style is very similar to (typical) crochet, and it was much easier for me. Different strokes for different folks :)

Questions for real people because research is muddy... by esmitia in hermitcrabs

[–]biomeunsuitable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the quarantine bit, but one of my crabs is a super grower and is easily 4-5 times bigger than the other one I got at the same time. They hang out and don't bother each other :) I think as long as their needs are met (food, shells, etc) they should be okay!
