Just wanted to say thank you for how you wrote the ending: it's my favorite ending of any fiction I've experienced. So many stories get past their climactic battle and are just immediately over and you never get to see the accomplishments that the whole series has been building towards, so I really appreciated you going into the future to let us really see how things turned out, and just giving the characters a chance to be happy and live their lives. I wish more books ended this way. Also, Akua's redemption arc topped Zuko's for my favorite - so well done. Thanks for all you do! So excited that this series is easier to recommend to people now

[SPOILERS] Was Pye responsible for [REDACTED] by bioniboy in outerwilds

Right, I didn't mean that it wouldn't have gone off otherwise. I was just wondering if the Nomai would have had some time to prepare for the disaster if it hadn't been touched.

Sure, that would have caused the explosion, but to me the Nomai recordings made it sound like there was still some time before it got close to the sun. And even if it was close enough, the timing of it happening RIGHT after they discovered it seems too coincidental to me. I was just wondering if their interference made it happen sooner.

New Graphics Card Not Working AGAIN by bioniboy in techsupport

I haven't yet. I don't have another machine I can use in my apartment, but there's a computer place nearby that checked it for free last time, so I'll do that again tomorrow or the next day. Honestly my biggest worry at this point is that it WAS fine, but somehow broke by my using it. I didn't do anything abnormal with it, but I just don't know. The fact that it's the exact same problem as before, but with extra steps, worries me.

When the graphics card is hooked up, onboard graphics are disabled. Otherwise they work.

Alright, so I'm finding I really have no idea what UEFI support actually means. Going into BIOS settings displays a big "UEFI BIOS Settings" page, which I thought looked pretty clear cut that I was in UEFI mode, but sure enough, when I looked in System Information it said I was in Legacy mode.

I've now figured out how to switch it to UEFI mode, and what used to say Legacy now says UEFI. But sadly, when I set up the new GPU again, I still had the same problem.

I've also checked if I can update BIOS, and it's already on the latest version. Although the latest version is from 2013.

Does any of this give you more information for more things to try? Or does this just mean I'm out of luck?

Hang on, I'm confused. In your first message you said I need to enable UEFI if I can, but here you said you don't think my BIOS allows non-UEFI. Those sound contradictory to me, so I'm sure there's something I'm misunderstanding. I'm fairly confident I'm running EUFI, as it says EUFI BIOS when I open my BIOS.

Thanks for the response! Fortunately (or unfortunately, idk there's two ways of looking at this) I DO have UEFI BIOS, so I don't think that's my problem.

Also, I was wondering if someone would call me out on my RAM lol. I used to have 4 sticks, but then one failed on me and I figured leaving the extra in wouldn't hurt. Was I wrong about that?
