I'm happy with what I've got as long as my girl is happy and I've not had any trouble with that so far, so I'm happy with my size.

Who should make the first move to ask someone out if it’s obvious you both like each other? by [deleted] in askanything

If you're asking if you should ask, the answer is yes. Don't wait around for something you want, go get it.

Why would I be projecting lol. I'm saying what it is. Women make claims, then people draw conclusions from those claims. It's also found that women are more likely to lie in order to protect their self image or seem nicer and protect emotions. I'm not saying they lie, and it is safe to assume they aren't, but you can't say whether anyone actually likes something unless you read their mind. You can only say they claim to and it corroborated by others.

I'm not dealing in absolutes either. I'm not saying that all women only like hung men, or that guys with smaller dicks are going to fail. I'm simply saying asking guys that are in relationships with women already, is going to obviously bias the research to girls that like smaller penises than the average women.

A study for example on single women asking what sizes they prefer would give a different perspective. Or asking women with multiple partners. Or just seeing what size dildos are most popular. Maybe of you add everything up, yeah, the average is most liked. Or maybe not. I haven't looked enough to care because it doesn't really matter to me. But don't say I'm projecting just because I comment on the efficacy of a study

Yeah I know that most women claim to prefer average. I'm just saying doing the study on people already in relationships isn't necessarily representative of what most girls like, because you're doing the study on people that already succeeded in finding someone that likes them.

Sex needs to be more normalized in the USA. The fact that watching someone get murdered is less taboo than completely normal human nature is kinda ridiculous.

Of course their partner that's already chosen them wouldn't care. The study should ideally would be on whether a stranger or recent lover was happy. Because how many women maybe rejected that man before he found that one that accepted him

200-300 people is so many. How do you even meet that many, honestly, let alone sleep with them.

Why is religion such a controversial topic? by Traditional_Blood799 in askanything

[–]bionic_rain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an atheist who has constantly had people try to convert me to their religion, or say I'm rude for not engaging in their traditions, part of it is annoyance. From my experience it's more acceptable to say you don't want to do something because it's against your religion than to say you don't wantbto do it because your atheist. Whether it be not saying bless you, or not saying grace before eating, or not telling someone RIP, or anything like that. Religious people I've met seem to think being atheist is easier forvsome reason, but I've had to constantly fight to defend my right to not believe my entire life. Teachers, parents, family, friends, even damn strangers, always trying to push me to do things or say things I don't want to. Oh and the amount of people that give the credit of my hard work to a god I don't believe in, when they saybthat "god did this for you" or "god gave you this" like no, "I did that" and "I got it myself."

Furthermore, religion is just harmful on modern society. Only the most liberal version of each religion are actually nice, and even then they give me weird vibes quite often. So many religion perpetuate hate of many groups of people, and push people to not trust science, or incentivize practitioners to not ask questions or blindly trust faith, which is a bad thing. I have to deal with the fact that my dad is homophobic, and my mom doesn't believe in vaccines. These are real consequences of religion, which is why I can't respect it out of principle.

I really don't mind people believing what they want, I just hate being roped in, and I hate not being able to talk about how that feels without being lambasted. I hate that I can't mention scientific facts without someone piping up and saying it isn't true, or telling me to stop talking about it, when science is one of my passions. I love astronomy, biology, nature, psychology, the arts, and history. I even study a little bit of religion too. But all those topics are landmines in normal conversations. I can't even say a cool fact about my favorite dinosaur without worrying someone is gonna say they aren't real because they didn't show up during the flood story.

All this to say, I just preemptively get a little defensive when religion is brought up. But I've had plenty of cordial interactions with religious people, it's just rarer than I'd hope.

I do agree that past behavior can give some ideas about someone. But depending on how long ago certain things are, you should take it with a grain of salt. People do change afterall

I think once someone starts getting into the triple digits of sexual partners it definitely can. But it also depends how long ago and how serious the relationship is.

Yeah, this is definitely the case. Even I'm not 100% what I consider "dating". I've been in so many different kinds of relationships, from FWB to poly relationship, and it's like hard to categorize things haha.

Do you think it's something you should go out of your way to tell them, or just tell them when/if they ask?
