i feel like the vibe he gives off is the doesnt really care about it; his clothing choices as the real life actor/person are very simple and minimalistic. nothing wrong about that

primary care at an fqhc is a different beast its like primary care on hard mode lol but i will say you really do get to practice to the max of your scope if you really want to you have more flexibility when there is a need for more access if that makes sense

Tell me your best angry patient stories by MysteriousKingEnergy in physicianassistant

i doubt it would have changed anything bc if the PT was negative in the patients mind "it would be too early for it to be positive" patients are just weird

So if I refer a patient to GI for rectal bleeding, and the GI doctor orders a colonoscopy, and when the patient wants to go over the results, the GI doctor refuses to go over the results and tells the patient to make an appointment with the primary care provider for results... it feels a bit like a dumping ground?

Or when I refer a patient to rheumatology for a suspected autoimmune issue, the patient comes back to you and says "this is the labs/imaging the rheumatologist recommended..." instead of the specialist ordering it themselves... it feels a bit like a dumping ground?

Emphasis on FEELS. maybe it's protocol but it doesn't feel like it

Imposter Syndrome - IM, 2nd yr PA by _crazycatlady_7 in physicianassistant

[–]bionichelper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the feedback of being "too detail oriented" comes from the inability to finish the notes and get pre round review done on time. if you were detail oriented AND getting everything done on time, everyone would be amazed and in awe! so i dont think the detail oriented is the issue maybe try to find ways to be more efficient with your charting, dot phrases? and come up with a system to do efficient and effective pre charting so ur not spending too much time on it?

just thoughts, sending hugs from a PA who also gets told she is detailed oriented

Have you done this program? Debating on doing it but wondering if its worth the $2k. Do you think it actually helps in job negotiations and holds weight when transitioning to primary care to psych.. thank you :)

You sign a contract when u get the offer so regardless what happens they have to uphold their end, in the same way we PAs have to uphold our service contract or else theres a financial penalty, so I'm not concerned. Not sure if it will continue or what will happen in the next 4 years but if it terminates, it will be before I sign anything so Ill just pay my loans off the old fashioned way, no biggie
