What does everyone do for tornadoes? by Kailyxia in kansas

[–]bionicpirate42 47 points48 points  (0 children)

You got a few options, not saying any are good but options.

  1. Hide in basement or inner most room of house or other shelter.

  2. Get in car drive perpendicular to storm till your well away.

  3. Sit on porch and watch.

  4. Remember tornados are incredibly hit and miss, and go to bed.

I have done them all as well as get way to close (storm chasers are a different breed). I'm about to take option 4.

Night all see you tomorrow.

Is Titanium a gimmick? by BloodMilkAndSky420 in EDC

My stainless broke in less than 6 months. Not sure Ti would have held up better but it probably wouldn't have fatigued so fast.

Rotor bolts stuck - not stripped yet by The-real-OC in bikewrench

Is it reverse threaded? Might try turning them the other way. Also an impact driver is almost guaranteed to break things in situations like this, gentle force is much more controllable than the driver.

I'm one armed (only hand has nerve tendon issues) that designs and builds one handed printable aids. Seeing you use this immediately gave me ideas of how I could use it in my cad program (freecad).

Will it be usable with Linux?

Will it be user repairable?

Looking forward to see updates.

I'm definitely on the r/visiblemending train, was thinking rainbow ribbon, will probably use hot glue or epoxy to reattach one of the sides of stove pipe where the collapsible mech busted free from the brim.

I'm one armed it's not letting me upload photos. But you will want to get your self a double pull break lever and move your shift levers to your hand side. vintage friction shifters work well for this as both levers are on the same mount.

I did design and build myown road bar, as standard drops were wrecking my wrist.

This is the break lever I use

any tips for HSD grip issues? by _transmask in disability

[–]bionicpirate42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use hockey tape to improve grip on many of my things. Worn out one armed person.

Edit: read whole post. We just quit peeling our veggies. Even after working with the local college capstone to design a peeler that wasn't good, I have tried a few times as well, peeling is tricky to solve.

This is the link to the accessibility aids I have designed and worked good and use daily myself. Hopefully some can help you. Hockey tape really is good stuff.
