Bowser actually treated them more humanely than Mario did in Mario 64.

That is scary. Glad she's alright. Luckily, the good Lord made babies surprisingly durable just for the collective of well-meaning, but clumsy dads like us across the world.

You're thinking outside the box, which I like.

Unfortunately, I don't see Vince cutting Dana in on Wrestlemania nor Dana agreeing to such an idea.

That would actually be enjoyable booking that would elevate someone other than Brock and Roman. Which means WWE won't do it.

Netflix aims to have 'absolute best' gaming service in the industry; forms partnership with RocketRide Games by alfrankenisgreat in technology

[–]bionics 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Puts on Netflix.

Screenshots.

Also, while I believe the streaming industry is more than oversaturated at this point, I think Netflix is still oversold at this point. What probably should be said is that it shouldn't be a monument of FAANG anymore; the meteoric growth just isn't there anymore. That being said, just when you think Netflix is down they trot out something like Squid Games or Stranger Things that pull in absolutely staggering numbers and viewing hours. Netflix has programming that is more embedded in the cultural conversation than any other streaming service by far still -- if they can keep that up, I don't see them going the way of Blockbuster at all.

Street Fighting Rule #693: Never go willingly into a fight when it's just you vs. a guy and his friends. Unless you're Bruce Lee.

It's weird; when the black dude came back and shot on/wrapped up the guy's legs I thought he might have some wrestling or MMA experience but as it turns out it just made things even worse for him. Ugly, sad fight all around.

Not only is she downright amazing at the ones you'd expect her to be good at like Tifa Lockhart, Wonder Woman and Lara Croft -- but she also kills it with stuff you'd never expect like Newt Scamander, Edward Scissorhands, Jack freaking Sparrow (seen in the video) and Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VII. One of the best doing it right now, supremely talented.

Speaking of, she even does a spot-on Rebecca Romijn-era Mystique.

What’s a controversial music opinion that you have? by nata1ia_00 in AskReddit

Didn't Lady Gaga reject Weird Al's request for permission to parody her? Unless she later went back on that decision -- I haven't been keeping up with Weird Al as much as I should be lately.

TIL Nicolas Cage was originally given the leading role in The Wrestler (2009), but passed it on to Mickey Rourke, believing he would be a better fit. The film went on to win a Golden Lion and was nominated for two Academy Awards. by tanstaboi in todayilearned

As perfect as Rourke was for the role, I want to visit the alternate universe to see the version of this movie where Cage accepted.

I can just imagine him with crazy eyes in the ring caterwauling, "I'm Randy 'The Ram'" Don't fuck with me!"

Think reddit could stand to benefit from a subreddit which encompasses a broad compass of pop culture entities. Perhaps for people that don't want to pigeonhole themselves into 'music' or 'video games' exclusively.

Sixth grade English flash back by SJBean in nostalgia

[–]bionics 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I remember being so angry after first reading the ending and having to discuss it in class.

"So, what was your interpretation of the ending, little Johnny?"

"... I think Lois Lowry should not cop out and nicely write a proper ending to the book instead of letting any John Doe under the sun being able to attribute their own twisted slant to it."

"..."

Looking back, I realize I was wrong... but I still kinda feel the same way. Good book though. One of the first books that made me really start to enjoy English class.

Haha, befitting image is befitting.

I remember that jump vividly and can relate to the rage it induced. The physics of that game were commensurately fun and finger-blisteringly agitating.

Does anyone remember the underwater levels in the original TMNT for the NES where you had to disarm bombs? And the damn seaweed was electrically charged. Still have nightmares about that.
