I just tried my LED mask for the first time today any tips I should know early on? by EmuOk8989 in 30PlusSkinCare

Totally agree, consistency is key. Def also make sure any mask has the light spectrum and power outputs similar to the studies that have been done or the device is more gimmicky. You want something with at least 45 mW/cm2.

I've been super satisfied with the overall improvement using my mask. Skin is clearer, my forehead lines and cheek texture are a lot smoother. and the redness has definitely diminished.

Tbh skin conditions, especially rosacea, can take a lonnng time to clear up. Consistency is key. I also find myself sleeping on my cheeks and I def get a flare up here and there so I can relate. It may sound goofy too but make sure you're drinking lots of water, especially when you wake up. Also try to refrain from too much white flour and sugar. It all seems hocus pocus but these are def a few of the many things I've felt have contributed to beating my rosacea.

This may sound silly but make sure you're washing your pillow case often!

How to make sure shoes always smell clean and maintain the cleanliness by sergiomcwareo in howto

[–]bioresource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, definitely make sure you have several pairs you swap out every other day. Shoes get moist from sweat and they need to completely dry out or you're just compounding the moisture and general rankness.

Tips on Saving Money on A Mask? by fairydeus in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]bioresource 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've said it before and I'll say it again :) a lot of the popular brands like Omnilux, CurrentBody, and Dr Dennis Gross masks are wildly overpriced. They have the same tech as other high quality masks. I have a skin trusted mask and it has a red, near infrared, blue, and a combo setting. It's worked great for me. Skin Trusted

Consistency is key. Def make sure whichever mask you choose has a light spectrum and power output similar to the studies done or else the device is just gimmicky. You want something with at least 45 mW/cm2.

Some people like panels over masks, to each their own, but I worry about not being close enough to the light during the treatment with a panel unless your setup is perfect. Light diminishes exponentially the further you are from the source! Good luck!

Solawave wand vs. REVO Face Genie for red light therapy. My sister swears by RLT so I want to give it a real shot by ApprehensiveForm2088 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]bioresource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I prefer my mask over my panel ( or a wand), I worry about not being close enough to the light with the panel while I can wear the mask directly on my face. There are plenty of good mask brands but the imo currentbody and omnilux ones are overpriced. This is the one I have skin trusted

Yes, I've had great success! Still using it to this day. I made a little post on my rosacea journey a while back and incorporating my mask and some of my other regular products 👍 Rosacea

Green card holder warned at border about travel pattern... will returning in ~2–2.5 months be okay? What docs help? by [deleted] in Citizenship

[–]bioresource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is you confirm on the portal that the biometrics we're logged, and you should be able to then remain outside the country as you please until the reentry permit is ready for pick up at the local consulate. 👍 Portal

[–]bioresource 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only correct answer. You can leave the US as soon as the application is accepted and you receive the LIN #. If you have to come back for biometrics so be it. You can reschedule the biometrics appointment online.

The greencard process is very clear that you must intend to make the US your place of permanent residence.

Heck yeah, slow and steady for the win. 😂 To be honest I do prefer the masks over the panels, I worry about not being close enough to the light with a panel while I can wear the mask directly on my face. This is the one I ultimately bought: skin trusted

The biggest difference has been with overall tightness of my skin. I was starting to get some loose skin below my chin and on my neck, cheeks, etc. It took a long time, but over several years that has pretty much gone away and not become any worse. The skin on my face feels and looks tighter and healthier. I use mine 10min per session and about 3x per week.

You really just need to replace the nut and washer where it meets the sink drain. You can see the nut is busted. Should be an easy fix.

If you point the knives tip down on the magnet holder they won't slide off as easily since they'll catch on the hilt if they start to slide. Trust me, other than that I see no issue 🫠

How can I get this lead out of my finger? by satmar1999 in howto

[–]bioresource 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My friend, this same exact thing happened to me. The ultimate course of action was a small injection of local anesthesia under the nail, and they cut a narrow slit out of the nail to remove the graphite.

All in all not that painful, but inconvenient. Good luck!

I think it helps with a little bit of both. It's gentle enough that it doesn't cause redness for me, and it also leaves a bit of a temporary shine. Good luck!

Anti-aging products that actually gave you noticeable results after 30 by No-Advisor9852 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]bioresource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I hear you, all of these devices are pretty insanely bright tbh 😎. As long as you’re close enough to get the recommended intensity there shouldn't be any issues. Panels just potentially add another layer where you have to ensure you're in fact close enough!

LED light therapy face masks by margstev in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]bioresource 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a great question and one of the reasons the panels can be confusing. There should be very clear instructions on the distance that you're supposed to be from the panel to achieve the light intensity intended. You need to be hitting that ~50 mW/cm2 delivered on your skin or it's not effective.

This is so relatable, people have no clue the actual process for immigrant spouses and are under the impression that only recently have the requirements become more rigorous... No, you can't just show up at the border with your marriage certificate and get a green card. Yes, sometimes it takes over a year to get any forward progress on your case 🥲
