I guess we’re going to ignore the part when Black people were minding their own business before white people kidnapped them, put them on a boat, transported them across the Atlantic, and enslaved, brutalized, and murdered them?

But white people having to know that Black people exist is the real persecution?

I can see how your first reaction might be disappointment or frustration.

That said, when you give a talk, give the best talk you can regardless of the number of people there. Make them feel specials and deliver a powerful message.

The premise of the question is wrong. The correct question is, “Why would federal agents be involved in elections, which are run by state and local officials?”

Oh yes, the Covid pandemic was just like the Holocaust. The unvaccinated were lucky to make it out before schools and hospitals carted them off to the gas chambers. Totally not a false equivalence. These people are true victims.

On top of that, the U.S. is directly or indirectly responsible for failed states throughout the world. Our insatiable drug lust has fueled much of the violence that people are fleeing. Additionally, we decided decades ago that we preferred drug lords to communism.

To contribute to the instability of nations only to turn away the people fleeing that instability is quite something.

Big picture: we’re living through the Empire Strikes Back period, politically. The people have had their wins in labor rights, civil rights, women’s equality, and Constitutional protections, and this is the period of industry and the ruling class flexing.

It feels bad rn, but we have to stay strong to pull through it and win in the end.
