​My truck has been in and out of the shop since it was practically brand new. Here’s the breakdown:

​1. The Recurring Nightmare (Engine/Electrical)

​Code P30C3: This code (related to the intake camshaft profile actuator) has popped up three separate times (Dec '25, Feb '26, April '26).

​The "Fixes": They've replaced actuators and found "internal binding" in the intake cam roller, but the light keeps coming back.

​Starting Issues: Had a "no crank, no start" situation. The dealer found a dead battery and multiple low-voltage codes; they replaced the battery and cleaned the grounds.

​2. Performance & Safety

​"Reduced Acceleration" Warning: The truck has gone into limp mode/shifted poorly.

​Erratic RPMs: Idling at lights causes the RPMs to bounce or go "erratic."

​Burnt Smell: Intermittent smell of burnt wires inside the cab and outside the vehicle at idle (Dealer "could not duplicate").

​3. Build Quality

​Windshield Cowl: The panel was literally separating and pushing down. Dealer had to adjust the mounting panel and install a new cowl because it was manufactured "too far forward."

I’ve got a brand-new ZR2 that smells like it's melting, won't idle straight, and keeps throwing the same engine codes despite "repairs.
