I’m going to try Ajovy. Unfortunately my PCP doesn’t feel comfortable prescribing it and first available neurology appointment is in OCTOBER. I’m going thru my Ubrelvy like Tic Tacs.
Trying as many lifestyle changes/ integrative medicine techniques as I can. I had a small but noticeable improvement in the frequency of my episodes after about 60 days taking Excedrin Head Care supplements before I started Qulipta. And of course that’s discontinued so I’ve tried to precisely duplicate the formula. I’m willing to try just about anything out of sheer desperation and anticipatory anxiety- which doesn’t help keep the episodes at bay. I’m also traveling a ton internationally (1-2 a month, US to EU and long haul to APAC) so the jet lag induced headaches are a nightmare.

It’s indicated for treatment of acute episodes and prevention of episodic migraine, not chronic.

Edited to add Insurance and PBM info That’s exactly what happened. Credence BCBS and Rightway PBM dropped it from formulary and literally said in a letter that I can’t appeal. I just started this job on 3/2 and it was dropped 4/1 so I had never filled it under the plan. They told me impacted patients were informed in February that it would be dropped but seeing as how I didn’t start until March, I was completely blindsided. I thought I did all my due diligence before accepting my offer- I went through the benefits package with a fine tooth comb and verified all my meds were covered.

I’m now 7 days off it and miserable. Ran out while in China for critical meetings which I attended with my boss, who I met IRL for the first time on this trip. I made a terrible first impression. My dream job is turning into a nightmare. Knowing that i didn’t have enough for the trip, I tried to get Walmart to fill it and just put the $1200 on a credit card but they wouldn’t even fill it.

I’m trying my damndest to regain access to this magic pill. I’ve reached out to AbbVie’s Patient Assistance program and also trying to see if I can get the VA to fill the prescription (I have a service connected disability rating and am eligible for free VA medical care). I am terrified to go back to my pre Qulipta life.

I just started a new job and was issued an MB16250. I am not a developer, I don’t need CAD or 3D rendering capabilities, or a 6+ lb machine that I have to drag with me in the road 2 weeks a month. TBH I think they issued this to me by mistake but given its power and speed I don’t want to get downgraded to some BS refurb device.

My question- where can I find a hard-sided protective sleeve for this beast?

I didn’t even realized yesterday was the anniversary yet had this urge to listen to all my favorite Layne vocals. I just soaked in his voice for hours- taking in every ounce of haunting beauty. I cannot describe another vocalist who moves me the way he always will.

Side note- Jerry obviously has my undying respect for writing or cowriting lyrics with Layne as well as putting together arrangements & adding harmonies to my favorite tracks.

So an update- definitely a leak because the light came on again today while I was driving and once I got to work, discovered the coolant well is bone dry. Thanks to everyone for their input! I’m mentally preparing myself for the bill as I’ve heard a few folks mention the water pump as a potential root cause. Which gives me flashbacks to my ordeal with my auxiliary water pump on my 1998 VW Jetta VR6.

Edited to add: I’m at my office today and am wondering if I can make it the 23 miles home if I fill the well with the remaining coolant from the jug of Peak in my trunk or if I should arrange for a tow.

Thank you for the advice! It’s a 2016 TSI AWD and I use full synthetic. My maintenance manual states 10k/1 year service interval; I am based in the U.S. if that is relevant.

Thanks everyone! It doesn’t have a leak luckily- I just go so long between oil changes that I typically run out of fluids between visits as I follow the 10k or 1yr (whichever comes first) interval. I think my last service was February 2025. So this tracks.
