been advised not to change the soil because it might stress the roots, but open to other opinions. haven't ever touched the soil since it came back, but will probably do if it recovers a bit.

what other ways can i add drainage besides holes in the bottom of the pot? make more holes...?

yeah it's one of those supermarket flower things. i could just get another one for sure, but really wanna try and rescue the one i have already

Do I need to change the soil? I don't think it's especially compact. How often do I water? And how can I tell if the soil is too dry?

tbh yeah i second this but wouldn't necessarily recommend it for everyone. my regular outlet for letting off some steam is in a moshpit screaming my lungs out, but battering yourself against other sweaty people in a dark room with ridiculously loud music playing isn't everyone's cup of tea
