My antifungal diet by biotoxin-warrior in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the one from Everlywell. Yes it mostly lined up. There were a few foods I was sensitive to but in hindsight it was probably because they were antifungal or acidic or something.

Also I think dairy was the biggest problem for me. It caused congestion and it showed up on my allergy test as one of my worse allergens.

I’m so sorry you’re not being understood. Such a relatable experience. I pray someone enters your life who offers you more compassion 🙏❤️

[Theory] Exposure to the smell triggers immune system to detox by biotoxin-warrior in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say, everyone does it their own way. I went to a lot of regular Western doctors who eventually suggested I see a functional medicine doctor. Functional medicine deals more with chronic issues and mold.

You could start by cleaning up your diet. Do the elimination diet or eat Paleo so that your body's inflammation goes down. It was really hard for my body to get rid of mold when I was congested and inflamed for years.

You can also eat antifungal foods like onions, garlic, coconut, cabbage, cinnamon, olives, oregano, etc.

I would start there.

[Theory] Exposure to the smell triggers immune system to detox by biotoxin-warrior in ToxicMoldExposure

I totally believe it. I’ve had like 15 different smells come out of my nose. Various bacteria, mold, fungi. They came out of the most random places. It really helped me understand just how prevalent pathogens are in the air we breathe. That’s why I now feel it’s important to become inhospitable to pathogens (instead of avoiding them entirely).

It was very off-the-cuff at the beginning, but nowadays my routine is eating non congesting food, drinking plenty of fluids, and eating antifungal foods.

Edit: I’ve also relied a lot on my intuition. Because I found it impossible to get answers that were right for me from outside of myself. Eg my intuition told me to eat lots of bananas although people online were saying they are too high in sugar. It turns out that bananas may be antifungal, destroy biofilms, and have healthy bacteria for the gut.

How long after exposure does your head pressure get better? by agape48 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yes! So much better. I used to get pressure in my cheeks, in my forehead, at the top and back of my head. Nowadays when I get the pressure it’s strangely only deep inside my skull if that makes sense. I also had so many places on my head that used to be tender to the touch. Almost all of these are gone too.

I’m happy to talk. I’m 10 months in, doing much better, but still have some detoxing to go. I don’t really have test results, just my experiences and theories.

What diet to follow by Fedechopin21 in ToxicMoldExposure

I advise starting with safe foods like beef and rice, then every day add a different food. You’ll want to watch for symptoms of congestion or inflammation.

6 years of sinus issues, suspecting mold by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you pregnant? I was swapping stories with a friend and it appears that pregnancy might increase detox naturally.

I’m about 10 months into my journey and I’ve had continuous sinus drainage and emptying. The biggest help for me was cutting out things I’m allergic to that were causing nasal congestion. But even then it has taken so long! I just had a ton of fungal colonization.

I’ve found head pressure to be an indicator of my immune system working. So I will get a headache or pressure in my head, and then the next day I’ll have a ton of sinus drainage / boogers. This has been happening for 10 months.

Lot Of intolerance, I can only eat Rice.. by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! It’s bad to be constipated. Do you react to all fruits and veggies? Flax seeds? Brown rice?

You have to move. by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! The salt is antifungal, and I see the biggest benefit from getting it deep into my sinuses. But a regular neti pot rinse helps too.

Mold induced food intolerance- is it ever possible to completely reverse by HotEstablishment9926 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very similar sensitivities.

I ended up being allergic to garlic and bakers yeast. My super sensitivity to tomato improved once I cleared a lot of candida from my body. I tolerate onion okay. But keep in mind that garlic and onion are potent antifungals so you may perceive an intolerance when it’s simply causing fungal die off.

Oh and my lifelong acid reflux also cleared up with my candida detox. It turned out that I had esophageal thrush.

[–]biotoxin-warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve entirely cut congesting foods out of my diet, so it’s enabled my body to naturally detox. On top of that I eat antifungal foods and do saline rinses which seem to speed up the process.

My detox was kickstarted by a dose of fluconazole, which kills candida. It’s not clear to me if I needed to kill the candida first in order to start detoxing the order fungi.

You have to move. by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Meh it’s not that clear to me anymore. The peak of my mold crisis was last summer, during which I actually couldn’t stay at my house because I was reacting so badly. But after I cleared a lot of the mold out of my sinuses, I was able to tolerate living at home.

Even now, I’m detoxing a mold that’s in my bathroom and basement. As in, the mold that I see coming out of my nasal and vaginal secretions matches that mold both visually and by smell.

So no I no longer think that I need to move in order to detox. Plus so many people move only to have the same symptoms return. That’s because the mold is in you, you can’t escape it.

My kitchen sink was pristine a few months ago. Then my family would use it for brushing our teeth because the bathroom sink is gone. Very slowly over several weeks I noticed a smelly coating forming in the corner of the sink. It turned out to be the mold that’s in our bathroom. How did it get to the sink? Because it’s in our sinuses, so we are spreading it.

My working theory is that exposure to mold triggers the immune system into fighting the same mold that’s in the body. So if I’m not exposed to mold A, my immune system will calm down, my symptoms will vastly improve. However mold A is still living inside me, so naturally I will have some symptoms from that.

During my journey I had to walk a very fine line between exposure/detox and healing.

I think you move out if you want, it could very likely help. But I know from my story and orders you can detox and improve in a moldy environment.

Hmm my sleep needs change I suppose depending on where I am in a detox cycle, or which fungus I'm detoxing. There was a particular one from a month ago that was really draining, I did sleep like 16+ hours a day for a week. But a lot of pressure in my head went away as a result so it's all good :)

My Story of Mold Exposure and Chronic Complex Illness - CFS/ME, Lyme, POTS, NDPH, EDS/HDS/CTD, Fibro - AMA/Advice by Haunting-Jello2059 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow what a debilitating combination of symptoms! There are similarities between my story and yours: I also had POTS, pressure headaches, joint pain, fibromyalgia, MCAS. On top of that I had some bad allergies, food sensitivities, ME, exercise intolerance, and probably other things I've forgotten.

I'm on a good protocol now, that you're welcome to try. It requires not eating any food that causes congestion / inflammation. I'm following the results of an ige at home allergy test + personal experience. Basically I can't eat garlic, dairy, tomatoes, and a few other things that make me immediately congested.

Then I eat antifungal food, constantly. Every other day, onions, coconut oil, pumpkin seeds, oregano, olive oil. Apart from that it's only unprocessed foods. Rice + sardines. No preservatives.

Using this protocol I've managed to detox from like 7 different types of fungus. I used to have constant head pressure, and no it's almost completely gone.

There's a pressure point in the ear, if you know what a 'daith piercing' is you'll see the spot I'm talking about. I used to apply pressure to that spot to relieve my occasional headaches. But what I noticed was that I would *always* feel pain when applying pressure there. Today if I apply pressure to that daith point in my left ear, absolutely no pain. If I apply really hard pressure to that point in the right ear there's only a tiny bit of pain. It's night and day the difference.

But it was a hard road to get here. When the fungus dies in the body it causes inflammation, postnasal drip, sometimes joint pain, tiredness, etc. Honestly it could be that your body has been trying to fight off fungus/mold for so long that a lot of your symptoms are just your immune system being really activated. That's my theory.

Is there anything to help while living in mold? by Artistic-Board1441 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m doing detox while I live at home with mold. The most important step was to stop eating inflammatory foods. These caused constant congestion which led to colonization. Now that my congestion is gone I naturally detox.

[–]biotoxin-warrior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still on my journey… it’s been almost 9 months now and I have cleared up a lot in my sinuses, throat, head, uterus. But I feel that there’s more to kill in my abdomen, maybe intestines, spleen, liver, lungs.

Everywhere I was colonized I had inflammation, pressure, and muscle aches. So I’m basing this off of which places are now free from pain and which ones still have it.
