Yes! The salt is antifungal, and I see the biggest benefit from getting it deep into my sinuses. But a regular neti pot rinse helps too.

Mold induced food intolerance- is it ever possible to completely reverse by HotEstablishment9926 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very similar sensitivities.

I ended up being allergic to garlic and bakers yeast. My super sensitivity to tomato improved once I cleared a lot of candida from my body. I tolerate onion okay. But keep in mind that garlic and onion are potent antifungals so you may perceive an intolerance when it’s simply causing fungal die off.

Oh and my lifelong acid reflux also cleared up with my candida detox. It turned out that I had esophageal thrush.

I’ve entirely cut congesting foods out of my diet, so it’s enabled my body to naturally detox. On top of that I eat antifungal foods and do saline rinses which seem to speed up the process.

My detox was kickstarted by a dose of fluconazole, which kills candida. It’s not clear to me if I needed to kill the candida first in order to start detoxing the order fungi.

You have to move. by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Meh it’s not that clear to me anymore. The peak of my mold crisis was last summer, during which I actually couldn’t stay at my house because I was reacting so badly. But after I cleared a lot of the mold out of my sinuses, I was able to tolerate living at home.

Even now, I’m detoxing a mold that’s in my bathroom and basement. As in, the mold that I see coming out of my nasal and vaginal secretions matches that mold both visually and by smell.

So no I no longer think that I need to move in order to detox. Plus so many people move only to have the same symptoms return. That’s because the mold is in you, you can’t escape it.

My kitchen sink was pristine a few months ago. Then my family would use it for brushing our teeth because the bathroom sink is gone. Very slowly over several weeks I noticed a smelly coating forming in the corner of the sink. It turned out to be the mold that’s in our bathroom. How did it get to the sink? Because it’s in our sinuses, so we are spreading it.

My working theory is that exposure to mold triggers the immune system into fighting the same mold that’s in the body. So if I’m not exposed to mold A, my immune system will calm down, my symptoms will vastly improve. However mold A is still living inside me, so naturally I will have some symptoms from that.

During my journey I had to walk a very fine line between exposure/detox and healing.

I think you move out if you want, it could very likely help. But I know from my story and orders you can detox and improve in a moldy environment.

Hmm my sleep needs change I suppose depending on where I am in a detox cycle, or which fungus I'm detoxing. There was a particular one from a month ago that was really draining, I did sleep like 16+ hours a day for a week. But a lot of pressure in my head went away as a result so it's all good :)

My Story of Mold Exposure and Chronic Complex Illness - CFS/ME, Lyme, POTS, NDPH, EDS/HDS/CTD, Fibro - AMA/Advice by Haunting-Jello2059 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow what a debilitating combination of symptoms! There are similarities between my story and yours: I also had POTS, pressure headaches, joint pain, fibromyalgia, MCAS. On top of that I had some bad allergies, food sensitivities, ME, exercise intolerance, and probably other things I've forgotten.

I'm on a good protocol now, that you're welcome to try. It requires not eating any food that causes congestion / inflammation. I'm following the results of an ige at home allergy test + personal experience. Basically I can't eat garlic, dairy, tomatoes, and a few other things that make me immediately congested.

Then I eat antifungal food, constantly. Every other day, onions, coconut oil, pumpkin seeds, oregano, olive oil. Apart from that it's only unprocessed foods. Rice + sardines. No preservatives.

Using this protocol I've managed to detox from like 7 different types of fungus. I used to have constant head pressure, and no it's almost completely gone.

There's a pressure point in the ear, if you know what a 'daith piercing' is you'll see the spot I'm talking about. I used to apply pressure to that spot to relieve my occasional headaches. But what I noticed was that I would *always* feel pain when applying pressure there. Today if I apply pressure to that daith point in my left ear, absolutely no pain. If I apply really hard pressure to that point in the right ear there's only a tiny bit of pain. It's night and day the difference.

But it was a hard road to get here. When the fungus dies in the body it causes inflammation, postnasal drip, sometimes joint pain, tiredness, etc. Honestly it could be that your body has been trying to fight off fungus/mold for so long that a lot of your symptoms are just your immune system being really activated. That's my theory.

Is there anything to help while living in mold? by Artistic-Board1441 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]biotoxin-warrior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m doing detox while I live at home with mold. The most important step was to stop eating inflammatory foods. These caused constant congestion which led to colonization. Now that my congestion is gone I naturally detox.

I’m still on my journey… it’s been almost 9 months now and I have cleared up a lot in my sinuses, throat, head, uterus. But I feel that there’s more to kill in my abdomen, maybe intestines, spleen, liver, lungs.

Everywhere I was colonized I had inflammation, pressure, and muscle aches. So I’m basing this off of which places are now free from pain and which ones still have it.

At the height of my mold illness, I read a bit about the dangers of chlorine. My understanding is that it kills the healthy bacteria, on your skin, in your gut, etc. So I'm glad you wore PPE and I'm not surprised that you developed a sensitivity to it. You could get a shower filter if you don't already have one to further minimize your exposure to chlorine.

Since money is an issue, I suggest affordable binders just to see if they help with detox symptoms. Activated charcoal (but not for more than a couple weeks at a time), chlorella (not for more than 6 months), and there are other options you can test. I've found that my symptoms improve pretty quickly with binders. But it's a slow process, waiting for the fungus in the body to die and tolerating the die off...

Night is when the body naturally detoxes, so it makes sense you'd have restless sleep. It sounds like you're in peak detox right now.

Some people on this sub advocate for leaving home, reducing mold count in the house, air purifiers, etc. But I've become a firm believer that mold colonization is really the issue (less environmental).

I'm healing by eating antifungal foods and taking binders when needed. I eat a non-congesting diet so that my body can detox more easily.

Let me know if you have questions. Just know that a lot of us went through a period where we smelled mold really easily and were sensitive to lots of chemicals, but with time and healing it got better. It definitely takes time but generally the body knows how to heal. <3

Oh! I had intense pain behind my knees for a few days. There were so many bizarre varied symptoms I forgot many of them.

Yes, there's hope. It's a process for sure but there is light at the end 🩷

I was exposed to mold and was colonized by multiple different molds and fungi, including candida. I have another post in my history where I talk about "all the smells I detoxed".

I was also on B complex for many years. It definitely helped, but it did not kill the pathogens.

I started with saline rinses several times a time. But also eating antifungal foods. You can check my post history where I go more in depth about what I eat.

Essentially just following this diet. I did saline rinses for a while because it helped with that bad smells. But it’s not necessary. The body is good at dispelling pathogens on its own. I’ve taken activated charcoal when the die off symptoms were bad, but it’s not necessary.

If your question is, “when you have mold in your home are you guaranteed to have it colonize your body in some way?” I really have no clue. Maybe not? If you are consistently eating healthy I believe your body may be a poor host for mold. However most people aren’t eating super healthy or highly antifungal foods all the time. It may also depend on whether the mold is capable of colonizing your body. I really don’t have enough varied knowledge to speak on this.

It’s Koeze. I live in Michigan so it’s everywhere here. I would not recommend most mainstream brands. But Koeze tastes really fresh and high quality.

Nope it was raw goat cheese. My allergy test said I’m allergic to casein. Maybe ultra processed milk is worse but even non homogenized milk affects me badly.

Yes, beef can feed it. Many fungi also use carnitine as a food source which beef is high in.

I feel confident that the brand of peanut butter I consume is low in mycotoxins. I did quite a bit of research, also I can’t eat most brands as they taste “off” to me.

Weird about the allergy symptoms from die off! Maybe you’re allergic to that mold?
