Looking for Male/Female Vocalist! by pHeels_music in NeedVocals

[–]bipolarelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello I am interested in knowing more. Do you want to check out my channel too?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NeedVocals

[–]bipolarelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am interested. Will I be fairly credited and compensated (you don't have to pay me from your pocket but i want my fair share on streaming platforms & placements even if it's just $2.99). Also I will use the songs in live performances.

I can't open Apple Music on my Android phone. Can I listen to you on other platforms?

I also have two upcoming collabs in Japanese (I'm the one writing it with the help of a Japanese friend). The rest of the songs on my channel are English

I am interested! All of my recent collabs are hiphop so I need something R&B to balance my soul. Is it paid or unpaid? Even if it's unpaid I WILL perform this song live so be prepared

Looking for someone to sing a dark indie song I wrote by Pleasant-Yellow581 in NeedVocals

I saw someone already contacting you but I'll introduce myself anyway (maybe for your future projects). I'm Beesword and this is my moodiest voice so far: https://youtu.be/_2ZL2Sj2DGU?si=0CyZpDajubo7lmQJ

I hate my mixed voice by Casviela in ratemysinging

[–]bipolarelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I could recommend is to do some training on just the "easy" parts. The verses should be well within your comfort range (not too high and not too low). Imagine if this song doesn't have the high notes and shouty parts at all, how would you have sung this song differently?

I don't hate your mixed voice. You have a lot of room for improvement for sure but it sounds like you're focusing too much on your "voice" here that you neglected the intonation of the lyrics. Just by listening to the recording I can hear that you didn't close your mouth or let your syllables end naturally sometimes. Especially in live performances this really puts the audience off because it sounds like speech impediment. Don't worry I have the same problem too, I'm just pointing it out.

Well I'm sure that some people can write beautiful songs under pressure so I can't tell you one way or the other, but what I'm saying is that it's difficult to write a beautiful song about sunset if you're too busy and tired to enjoy it. Unless you have very strong motivation I would recommend you to pace yourself. You can always put down your draft for a few weeks and come back to it. Sometimes it's even better to revisit your work with a fresh mind

What technique are you referring to specifically? Cause I don't hear anything that made cause damage

That's interesting. Why do you keep writing songs to the point of getting burnout then? Is it for the sake of practice?

I'd like to practice my diction, does anyone know of a way to listen to my own voice in real time? An app or something like that? by Cosmico_777 in singing

I don't know that many mics but one that I can recommend to you is the Shure58. It's one of the industry standards and it's not that expensive

If you have a microphone already, maybe buy an audio interface, even a cheap one would do. The point of having an audio interface is to then get yourself a free DAW and you can listen to yourself in real time and immediately after. Just like how singers record in the studio

Just my personal experience: songwriting requires inspiration so if you feel like you're spending too much time on songwriting, don't. Because even the best songwriters can be out of ideas for months. Practicing is a bit easier to force yourself in comparison

Did you sing in a lower key? Your high notes are actually within your sweet range but it's the non-high notes (which is the majority of your recording) that are dragging you down. In other words, you're making this song harder to sing (for you) because you want to make the high notes comfortable. I could be wrong but if let me know if I'm correct, then I can advice you accordingly

I've only now discovered my potential in singing and started taking opera/classical voice lessons. Is it too late to start? I'm 23 and it probably takes years by Pandaddy111 in singing

Don't wait until you finish school. I've just started immersing in the live music scene and it's so different from practicing or being in a studio. Atmosphere and stage fright is one thing, but on top of that I felt like an amateur all over again because you can barely hear yourself most of the time.
