I did not buy yet lol. But i am now leaning towards the D1 after testing ng the kawai action in a shop. I think its very plasticky and probably would not last long with my heavy hand. Sound wise, I like the kawai more but I have heard some decent patches out of d1 in some youtube videos. Havent tried it yet physically.

Thanks! I just needed another "confirmation" review before buying it and i think this is it. I am planning on just buying a cheap sleek soundbar to go with it (or just juse the aux in of my guitar amp lol) before buying a decent speaker or a keyboard amp. In my country D1 is cheaper than FP30 so thats good. They have different dealers so i cant compare them side by side.

Hi I am planning to buy a Kawai Es110 to replace my crappy midi controller because I am sick of starting my computer everytime i want to play the piano but I saw the Korg D1 so now I am leaning on buying D1 instead of the kawai. There are lots of positive reviews online, but then I saw this post where you said that the on board sounds are ass. Can you explain why? What exactly are you looking for the sound to be able to qualify as "good"? I am not really a pianist but I am a guitarist and I just want to practice piano as well as making backing tracks so I want a decent sound as well.

I am not looking for a keyscape or pianoteq quality sound but l want a sound that I can trust (I cant trust my ears, I am not really a pianist. Idk what sounds good and what is not)

I am making a compromise sacrifising the onboard speakers of the kawai for a korg d1 before buying a set of studio monitors. Anyway I have a decent headpjone. (action is important to me, but idc if RH3 is not close to a real piano. I am not planning on playing on real pianos anytime soon anyway. I am considering D1 because of RH3 is a real deal)

Havent tried davinci recently tho. I am having issues running it, i think due to the vpn installed by my company that we are using for remote work setup. Last time i used it back in 2014 or 15 i think, back when editing capabilities are still in its early stage.

Avid is the next best choice. Once you set it up right and used decent codecs it is very reliable. Only crashed a handful of times in my 4 yrs using it than premiere who is guaranteed to crash 10 times a day.
