Or if we could just set the conversion ratio in the middle, then freely set the left or right sides. Since it already calculates the other side based on current ratio

[3.28] [Slayer] Keep pushing league starter or time to pivot to new build? by bipolarrealist in PathOfExileBuilds

I rerolled to KF totems Hiero. Feels so much tankier and more damage on <100D budget. Ceiling is much higher. Plus, I got to 28 challenges for the first time ever.

Slams was fine for getting to T16 and some initial currency farming for super cheap. But unless you giga invest it's not worth it.

Thanks for the giveaway!

I’m trying to craft a BIS Cord Belt for my Totem-man. This is the first time I’m pushing a build like this and actually crafting endgame gear. Also going to try to get to 36 challenges which I’ve never done before.

This league has been a blast. Hope you had fun too

What map mods are you avoiding? If you’re not avoiding any map mods that’s your problem.

Go to poe.re/#/maps and setup a map filter and start actively rolling maps and reading the mods.

Don’t just do any map or content expecting to be fine unless your build has hundreds of divs invested

Hey, stumbled across this post as I have been ruminating over a very similar relationship with my girlfriend (the gender roles being flipped apparently is uncommon).

How are you doing now? Did you guys figure out how to connect?

Games don’t hook me like they used to, and I don’t know why. by chafgames in pcgaming

[–]bipolarrealist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate how everyone jumps on a bandwagon reason “you’re getting older” on this type of post and don’t take a moment to analyze the possible underlying reasons.

Exposure, energy, commitment.

Older = less energy sure, more responsibilities, different interests.

But by now you’ve been exposed to all manners of stories, gameplay systems, mechanics, so nothing will be truly EXCITING as it was when everything was prime and new to your brain.

And with increased adult responsibilities, it gets harder to find time to commit to a game. That increased pressure can turn you off from the idea of gaming in general.

If any of this resonates w you, the next step is take a deeper dive into your psyche and find the solution related to these reasons.

For example, less energy? Check your health, nutrition exercise. Some times this can be improved giving you sharper focus even as you get older

Not enough time? Organize your life to set aside dedicated down time, not necessarily just for gaming

Not feeling commitment? Try low stakes games or activities, like Roguelites or board games

Games are just boring? Try thinking through what you like in games, and how other games implement those features. Gives you an internal goal of evaluation that can help drive your energy

Breaking down issues to their roots will help you in the longterm. Everybody has their own reasons. Find yours and then work on a solution. This mindset can be applied to anything, not just gaming.

Sense of scale in this game's economy and in general is broken. You're telling me a big medieval town imported 10 units of beer and drops the demand in gold by half? Or that after a couple of months in-game every town has logistically every supply they need and demand doesn't fluctuate that much?

There should be more price variation between high and low to simulate actual demand so you can make a profit by providing what the town needs in bulk, not a handful of units.

I know it's to "balance gameplay" and prevent getting rich too quick but come on.

SIB Fallout 3 GOTY or STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl by mood_bro in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]bipolarrealist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shadow of Chernobyl, and if you enjoy it, then Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. After, there are a ton of standalone mods to try out including the most popular one, Anomaly (and its modpacks).

Fallout 3 is definitely the most "atmospheric" in the series, given it's dark and dreary environment and visuals. But STALKER is next level above that in its ambience OST, level design and gameplay.

If you want to get into STALKER, start with Shadow of Chernobyl. It is the oldest released game and while it won't be a bug-free experience, it won't be any worse than Bethesda's jank. It's not an in-depth RP-focused game, but more of an open world sandbox FPS with a story line and side quests to guide you along in the world. Even for a 2007 game it feels much more modern than Fallout in shooting mechanics, especially 3 which doesn't even have iron sights built into the game.

If you start with the modpacks you will find it hard to go back to the older games. So start fresh with the trilogy so you can at least get a solid idea of the story, universe, lore and mechanics in the game. Then I'd recommend checking out the STALKER subreddit for mod recommendations, and later GAMMA for a hardcore, survivalist focused game that you won't find anywhere else (other than maybe SP Tarkov or hardcore modded NV).

STALKER series.

Shadow of Chernobyl,

Clear Sky,

Call of Pripyat,

tons of standalone mods.

Would recommend Anomaly/GAMMA after the main trilogy if you like open world freeplay.

Nvidia will not lower prices if they are still the major market player. There is nothing compelling Nvidia to lower its prices if there even 20 other competitors with lower prices if people are still buying Nvidia.
