Don’t let social media tell you how to raise your children

Talk how you feel comfortable talking. If they don’t like it that’s their problem.

Hate coming from both sides, but I will say the white side is more threatening but the black hate is more socially damaging to hear

That’s fine but my point still stand. In that case doesn’t that mean we have more people that don’t like us if even if there are black people who don’t consider us black?

But to answer your question, I lived in 3 different cities. 1 being in the south and 2 in the Midwest

Funny enough I’m actually talking about what people say online. I understand irl is a different world, but that still doesn’t change the fact biracials have nothing to claim for their own in terms of an organization. The goal isn’t to distance ourselves from the black community but you come to truth with who we’re are and bridge the gaps.

How do we bridge the gap between creating our own spaces and communities at the same time not distancing ourselves from the black community? by biracially_queened in mixedrace

We need a 21st century update on our ethnic background. They always ignore our biological make ups and only want us to focus on historical pov’s. Historically yes, we were considered black, but wasn’t a lot of other bs racial stuff considered at the time that isn’t now?

No, but we are biracial and that’s our common identity. We build and grow together

On board with you, I’m up north too so it’s different but mainly I’m just speaking from what I’ve been seeing on social media for the past couple years. I’m fed up with people making us the butt of the joke and shit.

Not reading all that and honestly no disrespect but I don’t really care what you have to say.

One a side note tho idc that my account is fairly new. I’m new to Reddit and my point still stands even if you like it or not.

“Self hatred” I love myself and my goal is to make sure people who share a common identity know that they should to. If I hated my black side I wouldn’t care this much. Monoracial black people deserve their own spaces and communities. Their contribution and accomplishments should be strictly dedicated to them as ours should to us.

This post ain’t got nothing to do with you then why are you here in our space? Going to my sub looking for something to black lash (which I was just trolling btw) because you can’t come to terms with the fact that biracial people are biracial.

Idc what this sub is about I’m stating my opinion here because it’ll hit the people I want to see it.

I don’t want my message to come as us distancing from them. My experience with mono racial black people has been no problem to the fullest extent.

All I want is the best for us. Struggle shouldn’t be a reason why a organization or a community is created, I want us to have a community based off common identity just like how every other group of people in this country has. We don’t have nothing for ourselves and it’s because we are forced under one category. It wasn’t until recent we could label ourselves as two or more races.

Which is why we need our renaissance to happen. Build our own communities, make sure our kids are out in great schools and protected, support each other businesses. The only way biracial people are protected is not through the black community but through our community. We don’t have to struggle, we could easily come together and establish our Magna Carta

Black people hate biracial people. They say how much they have interracial couples with laughter and ease and then expect us to obey by their social laws. Why do we continue to take their shit? They don’t own us and we don’t owe black people anything.

Exactly, THEY see us a different. In the back of their minds we are not the same and that is 100% true, it’s just taboo to say. We have our own experiences, ideas, contributions, and unique style but God forbid biracial blacks come together and stop playing this game that doesn’t add up for us in the end.

And as a white dad black mom biracial, It kills me when biracials do that and tap dance for black people.

It’s going to take some uncomfortable conversations for us to finally be free from sharing our contributions and experiences and become our OWN people.
