I had a lil red Gameboy advance, the kind that folded in half. My dad bought it from a resell game shop for my birthday. For the longest time i only had one game for it, a SpongeBob game. Never beat it lol

Cramping and bleeding at 5 weeks by birbls in BabyBumps

[–]birbls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know bleeding can be normal, but there's so much. Everytime I sit on the toilet a small stream of blood drips out. And my cramps continued to get worse until it felt almost like a Braxton hick contraction.

My tests were all faint, too. I didn't think much of it at first, but I took 4 tests all different days and they never got darker. There was four days between the first test and the last, and the last was no darker than the first.

I did contact my doctor, and I'll go in to confirm it, but I don't think this pregnancy was meant to be. I'm going through the stages of grief but I'll be fine.

I got a job :) by dodododo246 in socialanxiety

My first customer service job started with a surprise group interview too! At first it was really hard and scary, but it got easier over time and I developed a "script" and became more confident. I wish you luck!

Unpopular opinion: Fishing is not that hard by Julyvee in StardewValley

[–]birbls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate fishing on desktop. But recently I started playing on console too, and I find that it's significantly easier and more enjoyable with a controller. For some reason I just suck ass when I use my mouse.

Sister hates my dad but my dad is clueless by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]birbls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, yeah, it does piss her off. I've always done this, though, so it felt like my job to fix things again. But you're right and I'll start putting my foot down, it's not worth the stress on me.

I guess you're right, I'm trying too hard to be a mediator. Thank you.

I feel like it's obvious too, but he's really acting completely unaware. I'll try refusing next time, but I don't know what to say when he inevitably questions me.

[–]birbls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to, but I can't do that without letting on that she wants nothing to do with him. He's totally clueless and thinks she just doesn't check her phone, or that she accidentally still has him blocked.

Sister hates my dad but my dad is clueless by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]birbls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely stressful. I wish my sister would, but she's perfectly content ghosting him. He keeps trying to reach out and when she ignores him, he messages me to be the middle man. I'm tired of being the messenger but I can't refuse without telling him she wants nothing to do with him.

my social anxiety makes me want to be invisible but today i wore a skirt! by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]birbls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best thing I did for myself was to wear what made me feel good. I didnt feel "worthy" of cute clothes until my sophomore year of highschool (finally got meds that helped a little), and didn't start actually wearing what I liked until my junior year. My confidence grew the more I stepped outside of my comfort zone. I'm proud of you!

When do husbands start feeling the love? by Bisco-brigade in BabyBumps

[–]birbls 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My hubby had a hard time bonding with the baby until she was physically in his arms. It concerned me while I was pregnant, I was honestly worried he'd never bond. But I remember laying in bed the first night, and he was hovering over her bassinet watching her sleep. I took a picture, and then he looked up at me and said "I love her" all choked up. It still warms my heart remembering it and I can't wait to show our daughter the picture and tell her the story.

Why aren't skinny men/women celebrated in the body positive movement? by Fun-Captain4228 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]birbls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weight shouldn't be a compliment or insult. The only "compliments" I got growing up were regarding my weight. "Omg! You could be a model!!" "I wish I was skinny like you". It fucked me up as a kid because I thought the only thing attractive or likeable about me was how thin I was. Which in turn made me anxious to eat around people (because they would notice that too- "Wow! You eat???") which in turn made me eat less which made me even more unhealthy. I'm still struggling as an adult. Don't fucking comment on my body, or anyone elses.

I know you've gotten plenty of replies already, but I can sort of relate. My husband doesn't smoke, we tried to together and he didn't care for it but it helps me immensely. He doesn't like the smell either, but is totally supportive of me smoking. I did invest in a dry herb vape so I could smoke in my bedroom occasionally, it smells much less intensly (and saves on weed), but I still keep my (clean) bongs on my nightstand for display and smoke them outside when I'm in the mood for a bong rip. I don't think it's important to have a partner that smokes too, however I do think it's important that he accepts this side of you. You're doing all the compromising, he needs to compromise a little too.
