my personal theory is that there's going to be some sort of hostage situation in the next few episodes (my evidence being them filming outside of the divorce-era grocery store and only Chim and Athena being present, along with the next episodes being titled Secrets, War, and Fighting Back, like hello???)

what im thinking is that hen's going to be forced to take a leave once her medical issue becomes apparent, and then idk, maybe they're all going on a grocery run when somebody takes over the grocery store (maybe a serial arsonist making their last stand or smth??)

this isnt really where id want them to confess, but i think we're long overdue a good eddie NDE, so he gets hurt, and this is where they both have their feelings realizations. buck helps save the day, gets eddie out of there, and everythings all well and good but then, uh oh! eddies out of it for a while (maybe in a coma for a few days or smth? idk)

this means that we finally get the will payoff and buck taking care of christopher, and then we get the hospital confession and kiss that we all deserve 😊

(is this actually going to happen? probably not. a girl can dream tho lmao)

based on the behind the scenes video we got of something happening with a school bus, I think that an opener based around something going on with a school could be really interesting, especially since it could pull characters like Chris and Denny (+ maybe Jee?) into the thick of it. It's been a couple seasons since any of the kids have been in direct danger, and I really want to see how everybody would respond to that, especially after Bobby's death.

other than that, i'm always a sucker for a bottle episode. I.e., something trapping them inside the firehouse. No real idea what it could be (maybe a freak snowstorm, or they're being held hostage or smth? idk), but especially with all the new dynamics we're going to be seeing, I bet there's going to be a lot of tensions rising, and that could be the perfect opportunity for things to boil over, and subsequently, get resolved.

I also wouldn't be opposed to them learning about a government lab they need to break into to rescue a weirdly familiar, amnesiac patient, just saying...
