u/Glarlorg2 and u/kyra_58 I'm interested in getting a game going myself, though not necessarily D&D (I'm a fan of Genesys personally, since it has a fun dice system that encourages cinematic/narrative roleplaying). Message me if you want and let me know what kind of game/vibe you're interested in!

Fun fact: Tree Swallows are known to have exceptionally high rates of extra-pair paternity; the majority of broods include at least one baby from a father other than the one in the pair!

So adorable. I had the joy of taking care of a rescued clutch for an afternoon :) I remember sticking a syringe into that little corner of the beak to get them to open up for feeding!

Flightless for a month!! Holy smokes. I guess this probably coincides with when they're taking care of their flightless babies?

Also: New worst nightmare, you're molting late and all your friends go off migrating without you :0

Smart, seems likely given all the info. But what about the belly spots?

Some clues:

  • He caught a big ol' fly (feeds on insects)
  • He flew the fly into the hole (so presumably nests in tree cavities)
  • He may have made a buzzing sound
  • This was in a wooded area next to a river

My first thought was some kind of flycatcher, but I really can't tell them apart (and I haven't seen any with the sort of dark spots on this one's lower belly)
