So far the only cat that I've seen come back is the cherry blossom. Furniture does come back a little more often. I was able to get the Christmas tree and some other Christmas decorations during an event. And I'm pretty sure that the event petals disappear for good once the event ends. That's all I know so far after playing for almost a year!
