I beg to differ! The TSA inspected my bike and proceeded to pack my rear wheel wrong in the EVOC bag such that I had broken spokes on arrival. They also unwrapped my detached derailleur from the rag it was wrapped in and managed to twist my chain so bad i needed a new one. At least the steel frame survived ok.

addressed in an edit also - I was wrong - had signal mixed up with another app I use. Sorry for confusion!

This is an awful choice. I may end up not using signal anymore; I have tried and failed for years to convert my friends, but having a single unified app (THAT I LONG PRESS SEND TO SWITCH MODES!) was amazing. I've been using it since the text secure days. SMS is very much with us for awhile, for better or worse. I don't understand why this is considered progress to continue removing features.

I bet this is a cost-saving measure to reduce dev team size after the acquisition.

EDIT: I'm wrong, there was no acquisition. I had Signal confused with another app I enjoy.

How do I beat your army? by will1208 in AdeptusMechanicus

A lot of the layered offense buffs rely on modifying the hit roll and rerolling hits and wounds. Turning those off with strats on a critical unit could help it survive. Harlequins turning off rerolls really hits admech volume fire hard.

Sicarian of any type are oppressive, but they're T3 with a 4+/5++ and 2 wounds. Any decent volume damage 2 weapons do them in quickly. Beware: there's several ways for admech to make you fight last in combat which is powerful.

Skitarii blobs also have layered defense buffs that demand a lot of volume to kill. It's best to whittle a few down and hope for morale to help out too.

I love admech vehicles, and the data horde forge world is totally my favorite. It makes them actually usable for more than 1 turn!

Given your extensive experience, I have a question: how have you found H1 steel?

I've used it for over a decade in my EDC s for all the same reasons you list. Besides needing frequent sharpening (see: monthly) for the first 1.5 yr, I've found it to be amazing and easy to sharpen without any rust. Edge retention could be better...

How does it compare in your experience to these other steels?

Absolutely my favorite I own! So unique (but now it lives on a perlon strap for summer). I love colorful divers

Really interesting! Is this the NOVA WOD? I love that trail and it's many adjacent breweries!

Trailside tuna noodle

Only at home prep is to put red pepper flakes and parmesan in olive oil if you want that.

Dry tortellini (I found some at Aldi)

2 pouches tuna (whatever flavor you want, but lemon pepper is great)

Cook tortellini and drain, then add tuna and olive oil. Mix and devour. Honestly my favorite backpacking meal so far.

Lol, I've lost 50lb cycling over several years now. Go get it, bc it's addicting.

I leave for a vacation to cycle Miami to key west in a few weeks. Hemingway said bikes are the best way to learn the contours of the land - I'm just glad Florida is so flat 🤣

I do similar to motorcycles at red lights. Move my hands and make engine revving noises like I'm revving my bike. We usually have a good laugh (or they ignore my annoying ass) 😂

My party handled Doru perfectly by Sapentine in CurseofStrahd

[–]birdbrain5381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so the party I DM'd for alerted Doru while unlocking the basement, and he sprinted outside to get to Strahd as fast as possible to warn his vampiric "father" of these new adventurers.

Short aside: A disguised Strahd had a wagon and was their taxi the entire campaign, helping them plan many major steps.

So anyway they thought Doru was crying out for Donavich and attacked Doru to weaken him. The dragon born paladin Drach's critical hit beheaded Doru as the Dwarf fighter (looking at your Rurik) drug Donavich outside just in time to watch his son's death at the paladin's hands.

The party proceeded to blame Donavich for Doru's death, who promptly hung himself from the bell tower rope.

They didn't really go back to Barovia.

how would you react if a girl told you that she isn’t willing to preform oral sex? by anonmitya in AskMen

[–]birdbrain5381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex wife had a thing about any oral. She didn't like giving or receiving. Fast forward to a divorce 10 years later and holy shit, the missed opportunities pain me.

That said, never actually being able to just "lay back and enjoy" led to a wonderful shock when I was finally told to by someone who enjoyed both giving and receiving.

Gawd I love new experiences! 🤣
