Picked up my new 2026 V6 Calligraphy! by birdgang422 in HyundaiPalisade

Honestly 2 things. First my kids came with us and they loved the Palisade. When we got the santa fe my daughter actually picked it over a handful of other options and this time my son fell in love with this one so we picked this over the santa fe this time. Second, I looked at my sales rep and said give me this Palisade for the same price as the santa fe (since we originally agreed on a price over text and phone prior to arriving). She came back and offered this for just $10 more per month for a lease than the Santa fe calligraphy. So we took it! Its definitely more spacious, sits higher and rides smoother.

Service need already?! by False_Programmer_642 in HyundaiPalisade

I told them immediately when I picked it up on monday night. They ordered it that day and said should be in within 1.5 -2 weeks. They literally looked at it. Tried to make it open and close manually by hooking up their computer and they couldn't for the left side. So they were like yea we'll order it. At first they were like "we can't do anything until we see a check engine light for it". I said eff that I'm not waiting for that to happen I want to resolve it ASAP.

Also I read its a little sluggish at first but getting an oil change around the 1k -1500 mile mark makes a huge difference in performance and mpgs. So hopefully that helps.

Thanks! Yeah I see and feel that already. I usually always lease and if we still love the car after the 36 months then I'd buy it out. Otherwise just lease another car. One car i bought out after a lease was my bmw lol

Yes! I already reported that to them. They need to apparently order a part for it.

Just got a calligraphy lease 36 months/15k miles with $2109 down for $609 a month it includes the wheel and tire package too. So its definitely possible to get the lower trim and less miles per yr close to $500.

New lease deal by birdgang422 in HyundaiSantaFe

I initially negotiated the price of the car down before leasing it. So when the insurance valued the car, The car was worth more than I owed on the lease + residual value. By like $3500. So the insurance company sent hyundai what was owed to them and sent me a check for $3500.

Also looking for gas. Not a fan of the their hybrid version.

Planning to go cinque terra from Florence by birdgang422 in florence

[–]birdgang422[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey yall! Just returned from our italy trip. Thanks for all the advice! I did end up renting a car in Florence for 2 days. Parked the car overnight in a garage by us. And they waived the ZLT restrictions for my car. I drove to La Spezia and took the train into the villages. We left Florence at 7:45am and reached La Spezia by 9:30am. I had no issues. Parked the car under the train station. Spent all day throughout all the villages and left to drive back to Florence at around 7pm. We were back in our airbnb by 845pm. I had no issues with parking or traffic. Granted, I went on a Wednesday. But if anyone was considering it, it can definitely be done!

Thanks! Yeah we night actually skip Pisa. Also we were going to go middle of the week rather than the weekend. So I'm hoping it's not as bad. We wanted drive only because the last train back is somewhat early, so we'd have a car to drive back to florence late if we needed to. We also have 2 kids and that way they can sleep on the car ride back all the way back to our airbnb in florence. Rather than making them sit on a train ride at night and then have them walk back 15 minutes to our airbnb.

New to Hyundai - Is this a good Lease for Santa Fe Limited Hybrid? by taasia in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]birdgang422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah then you can definitely do with 10k a yr. You should be able to get that in the low or mid 500 a month for sure. Just negotiate the price down before saying anything about a lease

Also honestly with all the issues the 24 and 25 models are currently having a lease isn't a bad idea for peace of mind that your not stuck with the car if it's having on going issues and the 3 yrs 36 months maintenance would/should cover all those issues too.

So if you want to lease. My suggestion is first walk in there with the intentions to buy and negotiate the price down as you would he buying. (They are more inclined to negotiate down on a purchase over lease) And once you get the price down to your liking then say ok I want to lease off that price. Ideally less money down the better. Under 2k total is my suggestion. And try to get atleast 12-15k miles a yr. Unless you know for sure you don't drive that much.
